Wilton DIY-Lish Cute Critters Dessert Decorating Kit

My daughter loves mermaids and really wanted to have mermaid themed cupcakes for her birthday. I found this product and bought it based on all the good reviews. It was a success! I would also like to say that I am not very good with bakery decorating but this kit is very straightforward and easy to use and the cupcakes came out great! Some reviews mentioned wishing there were two molds for the mermaid tails, and I agree. You could get all the mermaid tails done at once with two molds. Also in one of the reviews I read it said not to bother putting the candy melts in the plastic bags to just melt them in the microwave. I did that and just spooned the chocolate into the molds and that worked just fine. My daughter had a blast making these cupcakes, I would definitely use this kit again!

Super cute mermaid cupcake kit. Wish there were more candy trays bc you literally can only make six tails at a time and it takes 15 minutes for each batch to chill so while it’s easy to make this takes a little bit of time. And of course the melted candy gets gunky after waiting for each batch but you can just reheat it...over and over again...makes super cute cupcakes tho!

It’s pretty but the mould is not easy to use, not easy to remove from the mould I ended up used my own mermaid mould!

So bright, cheer-y and fun! I had a very zen hour of playing around with this set and it was perfect. I didn’t eat them myself but packaged them to give away- 100% recommended! At such a low price point, it’s a huge steal and the reusable mold is so cute. There was also extra sticks, sprinkles, and candies left over so it’s a very generous size.

This kit was perfect for my daughter's LOL MERMAID party🤗🎈🎂🌊🐚. The cupcakes turned out BEAUTIFULLY 👌🏼..... This kit have everything you need to decorate all the cupcakes and more..... I was even able to decorate the cake and some cakepops with the seashell sprinkles 😃🐚💕. I already had a seashell candy mold, so I used some of the left over chocolate to make so matching chocolate seashells. Thanks WILTON for putting together this kit..... it making EVERYTHING SO MUCH EASIER AND FUN!😃 my daughter had so much fun making these.

You are better off buying the items separately. The candy melts that came with the set had obviously melted and then hardened. They were disgusting and I used other melts instead. The kit also only comes with a mold for six tails so it’s time consuming to make two dozen tails between melting, pouring and waiting for the chocolate to harden. I would recommend buying a few candy molds, melts, sprinkles and cupcake wrappers individually—the items will no doubt be fresher and easier to use if you have more than one candy mold.

Turned out great! When you add the colored candy pieces to the included bag, add 1 tsp of veg oil to the bag to make it easier to pipe into the mermaid tail molds… trust me! Tap tap tap those plastic molds to get out all the air bubbles! I used confetti cake and the liners stayed nice and vibrant!

I just missed the return by a couple days and wish that the recipient of this present had opened it a few days sooner. The fondant one was OK and the other two Are unusable/ hard as a rock. I don’t think I would buy anything from this company again. out of the three kits I bought, One was OK to use, the second one the fondants are hard as a rock as well and all the cookies were broken And this one was a third usable. Really disappointed I’ve gotten this for my nieces birthday and it looks like most of the gifts I got her I’ll have to replace with something different after her birthday

Unfortunately the fondant icing in this box was rock hard and we were unable to use it. Tried to soften up in the microwave but were back to square one as soon as it had cooled. There was no way of kneading it as it just crumbled. We ended up having to go out and buy some fondant icing. Not great considering other than the icing there is only a couple of other bits in the box! Avoid!

Buena calidad, igual que como se muestran en las fotos, esta muy completo y tiene todo para la decoración del cup cake.
