Fantastic item after stretched!
Short Answer: This is a sturdy and economical item that, in order to look wrinkle-free, must be stretched with considerable force. As long as you build or buy the frame to fit, all you need is the muscle and you can make this look pristine. If you buy rolls of this material, it never has these useful grommets around the exterior that make repeated assembly and disassembly so much easier. My "180 inch" screen is listed as 156.9w x 88.2h and mine came in at 160w x 92h. (this is all pre-stretch) I think they they only count the usable screen area and not the 1.5" black border around the perimeter. It looks great and fit my needs precisely. 5/5 stars.Long answer: I'm a computer guy and a gun guy; So when I saw the 'Smokeless Range' pistol training program interacting with a projected computer screen, I was anxious to try the setup. To make this range, I needed a high end computer, high lumen projector, 1.1 gain max screen (12' max width) w/ a stand or frame, a laser training device, and the 'Smokeless Range' software/infrared camera. That is a prohibitive shopping list for your average retail shoppers.... But not for a resourceful tech nerd.As for the high end computer... "Well, the top rack of this shelf is everything with 4 cores or more and that bin in the corner has all the 2gb and higher video cards." I scavenge parts from everywhere; So, I could build three or four adequate pc's with just what I have on hand. That item was easy.Hmm, a projector... A customer and close friend was pricing projectors recently, lets call him for the scoop on a decently priced one. (1 phone call later) My friend promoted his business personally in conference rooms for the past 4 years with his $800 Epson 730HD and now that he's retired, "That thing's just taking up space, now. If you want it, you can have it." I wasn't immediately excited and had to google the specs on it before my eyes lit up. 3000 lumens and 720P? That's perfect! When I got the item home, the entire device only had 800 hours of use and he included 25' cables/remote/stand. I got lucky on that item. The screen and stand... That's why we're all here, right? The man offered me a 120" pull-down screen with expanding stand (offer still open and I just might get it later), but my inner arrogant elitist punk said "Nah, I'm gonna build a bigger one!" After all the work I spent to build this current one, I do feel a little foolish about rejecting it, but mine is custom made for the room size. Anyways, I searched Amazon for larger screens and as it turns out, screens over 120" are quite rare and/or expensive. I was hesitant on this item because of the horrendous reviews some people gave regarding the wrinkles, but I do like a challenge. I put the 180" in my shopping cart along with some paracord and bungees; Then I thought "What else have I been meaning to order that I can add in? Oh yeah, an elastic net for the back of my truck." So, I found an appropriate sized net and put it into my cart as well. Then, I went to checkout and had an epiphany that left my mouth agape. This screen needs to be stretched around a rigid frame and equally held tight at 36 separate grommet points lining all sides behind the roughly 7ft by 13ft frame.... and the heavy duty elastic net for my truck stretches from 4'x6' to 8'x12' with numerous places to attach along the sides and middle. This... This was too perfect of a combination to ignore. When I got the items (the next day, curse you amazon), I measured the screen and began devising a custom frame. It would have to be sturdy enough not to bend under heavy tightening pressure, but easy enough to disassemble without tools and light enough for one person to carry. Most great material options were price prohibitive. I'm not gonna spend $500 on a screen when the low end factory pull down model is ~$900. I settled for 1.25" schedule 40 PVC with 3 braces going vertical and 2 horizontal within the frame. This was much thicker material than I anticipated, but it didn't flex at all to the amount of pressure and distance I tested (~60lbs/30"). It also made the entire frame kit under $100 including the 7x pieces of 1" x 0.5" x 6' foam pipe insulation, 4x 90 degree joints, 10x T-joints, 6x 4-way (plus sign) joints, and 10x 10' long pieces of 1.25" PVC. The pipe insulation was for the external perimeter to blend the rigid corners between the joints and pipe as well as prevent tearing. Before purchasing all this, I measured the internal gaps in each joint and factored that into my material needs. In your head, putting that much PVC together and stretching the screen around it sound rather simple and easy. My measurements were perfect, but that also meant 'no room for slack and it will be a TIGHT fit.' I wore myself out until midnight getting the frame hammered together, stretching the screen around the frame with the carabiners and truck net, methodically stretching out each of the wrinkles (take the slack to the edge), lifting it into place so the flex of PVC joints is away from the back of the screen and not toward, and testing. When I say I wore myself out, I don't use that phrase lightly. Stretching this to the frame was like lifting 30-40lbs halfway, holding it, and releasing at different angles for hours. Between the cutting, construction and the stretching, I was wiped. My first picture of the Windows desktop was the first time I got the screen sized and in place. Yes, I know there is a small wrinkle left at the bottom in the picture, but I was tired and it is not in the other pictures. Was this brutal experience worth it? (Watches movie on 13' wide screen) Absolutely! This thing LITERALLY touches both sides of my spare room and I can use it for everything, not just the Smokeless Range. Check the pictures; This thing looks beautiful. The only way that you can still see the wrinkles from the folds is to get close with a heavily angled flashlight and even then, they are minuscule. The screen (and accidental home theater room) is acquired.I could go into detail able the 'Smokeless Range' itself, but I'll do a separate review on that. It works splendidly with this screen and is exactly what I wanted. Having a Tv/computer/shooting range/workspace this large is unreal. As you can see, my stretching changed the aspect ratio of the screen a little, but it is actually a great middle ground for both 2.39:1 (movie widescreen: Casino Royal picture) and 16:9 (Tv/computer: other two pictures). This was a great item and just what I needed.

Gets the job done
I used this screen for my indoor fixed frame projector screen which I did DIY. I built it with 2x4 framing lumber and used this screen with turnbuckles to tighten the ropes which go through the screen.I did it very very tight that the frame began to bow a bit but the screen was holding well (no tears or rips).I stretched the screen more around corners to remove wrinkles around the frame. After all this, the image is perfect and no visible micro-wrinkles from sitting distance (7 feet from 150" screen). I did my screen test with bright white light project and I couldnt detect any imperfections or wrinkles from my eye.But if I go close to the screen like 2 feet away from screen, I can see minor imprints from the folds it came from. (I waited 2 weeks to write this review and those minor imprints still exist). But from practical viewing from a very close viewing distance of 7 feet, you cannot see any difference and is perfectly reproducing the image. My message for DIYs, you can definitely use this as the screen material instead of buying a 1000$ pre build screen.

Quality screen for under $60
I ended up buying this because Amazon cancelled my order for the Elite M135H 135" pull-down screen on sale for $200. That was my price limit so I was back to looking at portable screens. This is a quality screen for the price and has enough grommets and hooks to hang it with no wrinkles but install instructions weren't great and it does have some fold creases that didn't go away. The instructions make it sound like you should measure the hook distance, stick them up, and then hang the screen. DON'T DO THAT. If you have to re-place a hook to remove a wave or wrinkle you may rip some drywall off. There is some strong adhesive on those pads. I expected a minor amount of creasing from a folded screen but if installed well there will be no wavyness to the screen. I managed to install it alone hanging the top 2 corners with tiny nails and then hanging the top row of hooks starting in the middle and going left, right, left, right, pulling them tight until they were all installed. Make sure to install the top row straight and level and the rest is easy. After the top row is done do the same with the bottom and sides, always starting from the middle and pulling them tight as you go. This was my first attempt hanging one of these screens so there are some small wrinkles by the bottom that I think I could have avoided but overall if this screen fits you needs I would recommend it.

Needs to be stretched tight
Great screen for the price. You can't get a 180" screen without it being folded, unless you're paying way more. But the folds were indiscernible at night with the projector on. I stretched the screen tight like a drum and it worked great.

This is the screen you are looking for!!!
I will start by saying this product came earlier then expected! It came on my birthday and I was having a huge party! We took it out the box and simply followed all instructions. After hanging it up tightly pulled enough...there were no wrinkles and we were able to use it for the party!!! Which was great!!! We played the movie, music and videos and the quality was beyond expectations! I received lots of compliments. Unfortunately, while putting it up the string was pulled to tight so it stripped/unraveled. I was just going to leave it hanging in my backyard otherwise I would need to cut one of the strings. However, the company randomly emailed to check how my purchase went. I told them the same thing. Wow. They offered to send me another set of string free of charge!!! I even gave them the wrong postal code the first time and they still reached out to me until the situation was handled! NOW THATS WHAT I CALL AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE! I really love my screen! I just had a seafood broil party yesterday. It was fantastic. We had a slide show, music and videos. Now I can take my screen down, fold it and simply put it away! I forgot to mention it comes with a nice size bag for minimum folding and great storage! You should really get one! This screen was worth the price and makes a great party prop!
