This was a present
The person I got this for really liked it. As he has a Norton it gives him some references.

An Essential Handbook for Norton Owners
Norton lovers the world over swear by these workshop manuals and for good reason. They are well illustrated, offer step by step guides to complicated procedures and are comprehensive. I have these manuals for all my classic motorcycles and would/could not do without them. Add this to your motorcycle publications and you won't be dissappointed.

Poor graphics. It would have been better to use diagrams instead of smudgy photographs. Overall, it's not as good as the Workshop Manual I purchased on CD via eBay prior - but may be useful as the restoration commences.

Necessary but not perfect
I think this Haynes book is on almost equal footing with the factory workshop manual, but the factory manual has some better photos & explanations. The strange looking (because they are non-automotive) components in the electrical system, and how to test their functions, are still a quite a mystery to me. I wish this manual showed photos of the actual components and had a colored wiring diagram.

workshop manual
Haynes is a great series of workshop manuals for various motorcycles. The instructions are easy to read and follow, complete with many pictures.
