The instructions are terrible. I thought I had a 4' monopod until ...
The one I received had a completely different name and the name on it is written in a circle with no spaces so I don't know I don't know what the first or last letter of the tripods manufactures name. I have no clue what to call it.The instructions are terrible. I thought I had a 4' monopod until I went back to Amazon and from the pictures, I realized besides one leg the center column comes off and screws on top of the leg. There is no documentation of that in the instructions. It has a knob called the 'Vernier Knob' The instructions don't say what it does and I haven't figured it out yet.I really like this tripod, I gave it a four star because the documentation is so poor and if someone asks what brand it is, I have no clue

Great portable tripod
I was looking for a stable tripod that is truly portable, by which I mean relatively light-weight and small when collapsed. This one does the trick. That it can also be a monopod is icing on the cake. The manufacturing quality seems to be very good. Comes with a nice carrying bag and a protective cover for the head. Head is very solid, and plate releases quickly. For the price I am very pleased.

Excellent and flexible tripod
I bought this from another seller but wanted to say that it is a full featured, high quality unit. The ballhead rotates 360 and is smooth. The ballhead plate is arca swiss style so you your L-bracket slides right in place. The legs are good quality and the twist adjustments are very nice. There are many more expensive units but this is a good one. It folds down to nearly a foot for easy carrying around and the walking stick/monopod is a nice addition. It has a carrying pouch that hooks onto your belt as well for additional stabilization.
