Quality bowl
This is a beautiful bowl...a piece of usable art. I will be using this for crackers to be served with a cheeseball. It compliments my charcuterie board.

size verses price
The craftsmanship, quality, and looks of the bowl were impeccable. However, for the price I was expecting something at least 5-6 times larger.

May have cracks that make it hard to clean
While the bowl is beautiful, it has cracks due to a knot in the wood that makes it impossible to clean thoroughly.

Excellent bowl
I had to lower my rating to one star. This has only been hand washed, and regularly oiled. However, this now leaking from cracks in the grain. I'd like a replacement, but it's been just over 2 months. I'm very disappointed.I bought this to be my personal "everything" bowl. It is really awesome for my purposes. I got the 6 inch bowl. It holds a perfect amount of soup for me, and I also use it for everything from cheez-its to yogurt to mashed potatoes to salad. The only things it's not very good for is salsa. It's not a good shape for tortilla chips of any shape to scoop salsa. the curve of the bowl is too high. But that doesn't stop me! I love this bowl.I oil it often, as it does seem to dry out easily. I don't leave it wet in the sink (I try to wash it immediately after use), so I'm surprised it needs oiling as much as it does. I use either olive oil or food-safe mineral oil. It's beautiful, and I love eating out of it.
