Pros and Concerns for an Awesome Hot Tub
Update:9/4/2021Had to replace heating element due to loose connection (wish I still had photos of that all burned up.) Jet manifolds unsecured and vinyl pipes disconnected filling entire cabinet with water. A final inspection at manufacturer’s would have spotted the zip tie plumbed into jets, kinked hoses and entire led manifold left bundled up in cabinet. The list goes on but so it goes. I’d still buy again but would pull all panels off and do an inspection before connecting because working with warranty department can be a long process.Wow!!Worth the wait. I’ve had the tub for a month but only hooked it up 2 days ago.I’d like to start with the good:-Not a bad seat in tub-pillows are perfect height for me @5’11”-control panel easy to understand-very attractive tub, lights are sweet too-once we had all the supplies, 220v ran the actual hookup only took my electrician an hour-100 jets and all the connecting tubes not one leak! I was impressed and tip my hat to the employees. With all the challenges of 2020 these guys are due for a bonus.-maintains temp great-nice stairs-nice slip resist flooring-did I mention I love this hot tub?-cover fits well and is light-jets/air intake easy to adjust-surprisingly loud speakers and hooked right up to my Bluetooth-great valueConcerns:-had to tear walls apart and spend much time and money to run wire. The owners manual says to use 6 gage wire. 6 gage wire from my research is only rated to 55 amps. Tub is rated at 48 amps and to achieve the 125% that code requires it must be allowed 60 amps. 4 gage wire (bigger) is from the advice I’d received by 3 electricians, the only way to ensure that the 60 amp breaker actually has that extra 12 amps (48 amps+25% per code.) not to mention if you are running conduit outside the walls it must have the wire insulation that is impervious to moisture over long periods of time. That all being said tub works great with 6 AWG wire with all three pumps and heater going at once.-I would have liked to have seen treated wood used for frame. Agree with other review that it would be an inexpensive and preferred alternative.-heater/filtration cycle is audible. Not bad but we live in a cooler climate and tub has to run longer. May consider this before putting it on the other side of the wall from you bed or in an enclosed space-access panel I believe should be marked better and easier to open. When it arrives on its side it is hard to figure out what side to lay down. I’d be more inclined to perform preventative maintenance (check connections, replace ozoneator (2 years) if it didn’t involve pulling, prying, damaging, tools, and finding the existing holes for the screws and grommets to remove the access panel-if the wait time for delivery in listing stated actual time It would have caused less concern for me when it took 6 monthsI’d like to leave a review @ 1 year. I hope this was helpful.Again, thanks Strong Spas. Give your employees a pat on the back and maybe some smoked brisket for a job well done.Ryan (Washington State)!!Follow up!!: A hose manifold was not secured. Put too much pressure on a jet hose and flooded out the bottom membrane. Left 1.5”-2” throughout. I was able to fix easy enough. Pulling off panels, stabbing holes in bottom membrane for drainage, soaking up residual water with towels, refilling and treating tub in freezing weather at 11 pm.... like I said earlier in post; they should have used treated wood because now all my bottom frame pieces have been soaking in water and will mildew and weaken. Still love the tub but a final quality control check would have surely discovered this unsecured manifold.

Large, open feel, worth the wait.
We bought this hot tub from Amazon July 4, 2020. At the time of purchase, the shipping time was listed as 1-2 months. After 2 months had passed with no news of the hot tub being shipped, I contacted Amazon. It took 2 times chatting with Amazon for them to give me the number to call to speak with someone at Strong Spas to discuss the delay. They informed me it would be another month before it shipped. Once it did ship from the manufacturer in PA, we were able to schedule a day and time to have it delivered at our home in CO. We had a great pair of men who actually helped us move the tub to our backyard and get it set up on the concrete pad. We got the hot tub filled in a few hours using a garden hose. Once the electrician came and hooked everything up and tested that it worked, we noticed that the waterfall feature was nonfunctional. My husband took the side panel off that's used for servicing the tub and noticed the hose that should feed water to the waterfall was just dangling down under the tub. Someone at the factory didn't attach the second end to anything. No wonder it didn't work! We had issues getting the Bluetooth to pair on our devices. Turns out, the name given in the manual to connect to isn't an option. It was something completely different. But once we discovered that was the problem, it was functional. The last reason I only rated this product at four stars is because it came with a very well used, filthy water filter installed (picture attached). It has dirt and chunks of what look like caulking (?) in the folds of the filter, way beyond anything that could be cleaned. We feel this was a testing filter and they just forgot to replace it before shipping it out?We do love the large, open foot well area. It really will fit 6 people, could do 7 if a couple are smaller. Our two year old twins love "swimming" in the hot tub with us. Overall, we are very happy with this hot tub. I just wish we didn't have to have a repairman come immediately to fix a brand new product. And honestly, the waterfall feature is absolutely pointless. It hardly had any water coming out if it at all.We received reimbursement from Strong Spas for the repairs that were needed upon arrival very quickly.

Not quite 3 years after purchase and it’s breaking
This hot tub was nice but within 3 months all of the headrests popped off. The casings around the jets are now falling off and the motor is starting to go. Thought we would get more longevity out of it. Trying to find a replacement motor😞

Good deal compared to picking one at a dealership.
We bought one of these in 2019.Decent sized and warranty resolved one hardware issue with the controller board that occurred during the first year. Replaced the heater element at the end of the last year. The cover that comes with it is nice, but like most of the ones I bought for the old tub this one replaced after four years of being exposed to the heat from the tub and outside temperatures during the winter months is ready to be retired.
