Q: Has the hard case been improved to correct for the inadequate protection it's been shown to have?

When I bought my Cello, it was not broken in the sense that the neck snapped like you see in some older posts. My problem is that once the bridge is set up, the cello no longer fits into the hard case. The company was great to work with when I made a complaint about this and some scratches in the wood. I had to send everything back and they sent me a new set. The new cello was in perfect condition but the second case had the same problem of my first one where the cello would not fit into the case after the bridge was set up. I gave up after that as I didn't want to go through the motion of sending things back and forth. Nice cello after the strings are changed. I have a full set of medium Helicores'.

Q: Has anyone had an issue with having the soundpost installed or does it come set, thanks

My Cecillio Cello arrived with the sound post lying loose in the body. I had a music store technician grab it with a special pliers and correctly position it. Problem solved and still playing well, nearly a year later. Wish I played well too :-)

Q: Is the instrument ready to go once the bridge is in place?

In my case the instrument came without the brige in place, I have to put it in place because I know to do that. After that, I haved played since 2008. But If you want a better sound you should take it to a luthier. A very important thing is to check if the cello post is in-place, otherwise you will damage the instrument. Best regards.

Q: ebony fingerboard ? what kind off wood it is made ?

Mine has solid ebony finger board and tail piece as well. The top is super tight grained book matched spruce. Looks like Engleman or Sitka. The sides and back are highly flamed maple. You can’t get finer woods at any price. Top and back are book matched as well.
