so different, so good
This book is so so good. This whole series is different, at times heartbreaking, but I love the solution of generations of abuse.Don’t miss this series.

4 Stars!!
This was a wild ride and somewhat twisted story. Helena and Sebastian’s story was quite the emotional roller coaster ride. The things that happened between Helena, Sebastian and Gregory had my emotions all over the place. I was shocked by what Gregory did and what it meant but I guess I’ll find out in the third book.Overall this was a good duet and Helena and Sebastian are one couple I want soon forget. I highly recommend it if you like dark and twisted romance stories. I give it two thumbs up!!!

Stunning
OMG !! I mean WOW what an amazing read. I thought Taken was an off the chart dark read, but Torn completely blew me away. It was full of twists and turns that I never saw coming. Epic is a word I would use for this book. It’s characters Helena and Sebastian took me on a journey that filled my mind with so many different levels of emotions. It feed my need for the dark side of imagination and held me hostage, blocking out anything except the journey it was taking me on. Writing that put my mind in euphoria mode. So stunning that I was completely riveted to every single word. Filled with suspense, hate, danger and sick twisted traditions that were carried out through generations. A compelling story that kept me turning pages without any thought of stopping. I can’t say enough about how awesome this book is. It surpasses even the word stunning. If you are looking for a very dark read then do not pass this book up. It is the second book of the duet, so don’t forget to read Taken first. I promise you will not be disappointed in them. Natasha Knight is an amazing author that truly feeds your need for dark romance.

Can they end the curse?
This is book two in the Dark Legacy Trilogy and will still leave you with questions at the end, which I hope will be answered in the third book. Helena Willow just wants to find a way to end the cycle where the Scafoni men come and take a Willow girl in order to break her over the next three years. It seems there is so much more to this whole tradition and it seems to cause so many problems along the way. Sebastian Scafoni chooses Helena as the Willow girl but it seems he has no intentions of following the tradition because he does not want to share his Willow Girl with his brothers. This causes major problems and in the end Sebastian may have to hurt Helena in order to save her. This book is not the end of the story so be prepared to still have questions. I am looking forward to book three, Twisted to see if it all works out.

Twisted by a legacy
Willow girls have been the property of the Scafoni men for generations. Lies and deception seem to be the flavour of the month between both families. As Sebastian carries out the legacy, he can’t deny his feelings for Helena. However, Gregory, his younger brother has also developed feelings for her. Sebastian tries to come up with a solution and by doing so only makes it worse. The brothers seem to be knocking heads. Helena understands the situation better than the brothers do. Sebastian has a way to keep his Willow girl, but can he cause her so much pain? The book was explosive and the chemistry was sizzling. However, I felt at times that there was too much s-x and this took away from the actual story of the mystery and angst. I felt like there should have been more tension and conflict at the final ceremony. I also wanted Helena to fight more and not to give in so easily. So while I thoroughly enjoyed the book, I just felt like certain elements were missing. These are my own personal opinions and in no way am I knocking the author, as her writing was on point and she still gave a jam-packed suspenseful book with a unique plot.Reviewed for Hot books and Sassy Girls book blog

Dark & Dangerous
Torn is a dark, complex, sexy, and off the charts HOT!! The second book in the duet, and if I thought Taken turned my heart and stomach this one did it twice as much. This book OMG, I couldn't put down for a second. I wasn't prepared for the twist and turns in Helena and Sebastian's way to finding their happiness. But I loved every page of it.The way Natasha built Gregory into the story was so unexpected and so hard to read at times. But I feel like it fit perfectly into the twisted family history. I did feel bad for Gregory because he seemed so lonely and sad. I think he NEEDS his own story!!!!The secrets, the lies, the saga between the two families Willow and Scafoni, are finally shown the light and they come out of the darkness. This is another intense and emotional ride from the first page to the last page. If you read Taken, than Torn is a must read!!!!If you've read Natasha's books you know how she leads us to the right ending. This story is provocative and an incredibly well-written page Turner. I was engrossed, fascinated, and boy was I surprised. So it's my pleasure to recommend the Dark Legacy Duet, Taken and of course Torn. Because if you love dark romance, a good story, I promise you'll find that in this duet.

Torn was Great
I like this story. Sebastian and Helena have chemistry; I'm glad that they get an HEA. This story has action, drama, violence, and plenty of emotion.

WHAT AN ENDING!
WOW, I loved the first book and loved the conclusion of their story in the second book. There’s twists and turns some more obvious than others but still well worth the time to read.

Overall I enjoyed this duet
I really enjoyed Taken but the first part of this book was a bit of a disappointment for me. In fact I had massive issues with parts of the plot. At one point I seriously considered returning the book for a refund, I was that disengaged and discontented with it. I'm glad I didn't as the second half was excellent and I actually finished the book feeling much more positive about it.This picks up virtually from where book #1 left us teetering on the edge of a cliff-hanger. Sadly it didn't start with a bang, but rather with a whimper. Well, that's not strictly true, it starts with a fairly horrific scene of violence and abuse (which I loved by the way), sadly it was the following few chapters that left me feeling disappointed. I was expecting some serious anger from Helena, and an awful lot of groveling from Sebastian.Sadly Helena lost all the personality she had shown in Taken, instead we had a character with the breaking strain of a wet paper towel, the strength of a frayed thread and the spine of a jellyfish. Where was her ire at his lies? Her anger at the way she had been treated? Her determination to not be a pushover? It seemed to have got tangled up and lost with the panties she dropped so quickly. My kindle was at serious risk of being thrown across the room at more than one point. Then there was all that stuff with Gregory, which just didn't work for me. It didn't seem to fit with Sebastian's feelings. Also I simply wasn't buying into the relationship between Sebastian and Helena. I really didn't 'feel' that there was a connection or any love between them for a part of the book.BUT!!!!!!!Just at the point I was ready to give up, the book did a 180 turn, the pace picked up and the connection between Helena and Sebastian became much more real for me. It may be no coincidence that this was also the point where the situation with Gregory came to an end.I couldn't read the end of the story quickly enough and it was almost enough to push this to a 5 star read. However there were a few lose plot ends that were never addressed and there was not even an attempt made to explain why Sebastian, who clearly believed in the whole 'curse' idea, was suddenly happy to forget it ever existed.I'm aware I need to add some positives to balance this out. So, firstly the sex is hot, very very very hot. There are some unexpected little twists and turns to the plot that are really good and I definitely felt there was more emotional depth in this book. Overall it is still a good duet and well worth reading. I also know a lot of people enjoyed the Gregory aspect of the story line. It made me feel icky but that's just a personal thing. It was well written, in my head it just didn't 'fit' but you may very well have a very different perspective on it.
