Works very well in 13 inch or larger bowl with direct sunlight, its solar only. Very pleased! Size 2
Better than expected!Used for tabletop fountain. Spray with shower nozzles attached was impressive and needs at least 13 inch wide by 2 inch deep or greater to work well IMO. As advertised, it will only run in full contact with direct sunlight, even slightly covering one corner of a panel will impact performance to only occasional spray. It does not run in clouds, at night, morning or anytime that the sun is not 100 percent. You will need to pay more for a pump with back up battery, or power supply. Much more expensive than this. Suction cups on bottom to keep centered in bowl works to prevent overspray out of bowl. Spray was powerful and high enough that in a 10 inch wide bowl i could not use sprayer, only used more as a cascade out of round upright nozzle. Even in 13 inch bowl I get a little overspray on breezy days. Very pleased so far and exactly as advertised. Makes a nice gentle splashing sound when running!

Fun in the pool
Works best during sunniest part of the day when water gets up to nearly 3ft. Usually has consistent 2ft jet depending on clouds, trees, shadows or setting sun. Relies completely on solar power. Unit floats on water and has 5 pattern toppers to choose from for different fountain effects. We use ours in the swimming pool for a fun feature.*I've had it for 4 months in my swimming pool; no issues, works great and I will be putting it up now and reusing it next summer. I certainly got my money's worth, well made, quality item.

It was cute for two days then saw what a pain in the a— it was to always refill or burn it out.
This is a cute little fountain spray. But the downsides are important to know as mine burned out in two days. 1- you have to constantly refill the water. Depending on the wind and heat, sometimes three to four times a day. And in conjunction with that - Remember you can only put it in a bowl as deep as the spray arm is tall or all you get is underwater bubbling. So thinking you will just get a bigger bowl is a non starter. It constantly runs so even at night if the water has run low it runs and burns out the motor.

Makes my garden fun.
I put the solar disc in the middle of my birdbath. It's so pretty and I get compliments all the time. As other reviews indicate that if the sun goes behind the clouds it will stop....but so much better the having to have an electrical source. Even though I purchased a good sized birdbath, I will have to add water because it evaporates in the heat (Florida). Love it and glad I purchased it.

Keep it immersed in plenty of water at all times
I ordered two. Opened one and with rocks holding it down put it in my birdbath and it's been great. Enjoying every day but do watch to make sure it's always in plenty of water. The second I saved for a present. I am so disappointed it only worked 1 day for her. Because I held it, my return deadline has passed. What a let down and embarrassed being it was a present.

Was expecting more
Tiny in size, people mentioned a dinner plate, yes, a dinner plate for ants. Lol. Maybe the size of a small bowl in roundness. Suction power is weak, needs 100% sunlight to get any thing to pump. Even in sunlight the pump is weak. There are others on here for the same price with a battery back up so it pumps perfect all of the time. Steer clear and get yourself one with the optional battery.

needs a deep water source
Does exactly what it is supposed to: EXCEPT it shoots water quite high, and with ANY wind, water is overshooting my reservoir and it is literally shooting water out of my fountain. Add another 3 inches depth and prob 9 inches width outside the dimensions of the fountain to keep the water in your reservoir. With the right water source, this is a great little fountain.
