Light schedule doesn't work. Doesn't come with humidifier/fogger ( they discontinued it due to it causing mold and over watering plant).

This is an awesome concept, but has major construction flaws.The light and housing made of clear plastic are nicely designed, but the major flaw is the water pump system. The pump is loose inside the bottom base, which should have been seated permanently in place to ensure proper irrigation into the plant tray that sits above it in the upper part of this system. Instead the pump which is crucial in a hydroponic set up is unattached in the base. Once the base is filled with water the light weight pump floats around in the liquid, and the tube which was designed to push water up into the plant tray, doesn't line up to pump crucial water to plants. I really wanted this to work, because the concept is innovative and enclosed to keep plants safe from pets and children, but the hydroponic system necessary for a complete system have major design flaws that make this a novelty rather than a sustainable machine.

This is a well packed and constructed kit. Very simple to setup and adds a nice pop of greenery to my home office.EDIT 2: This doesn't seem to really work with Android phones. I connected ok the first day, but anything I try to change doesn't work now. I wish there was a way to just have basic controls on the unit without needing an app. Seems like too much tech involved for what should be simple timer based functions. That said, when I tried to connect via my wife's iPhone it worked flawlessly. If you have an iOS device it will work just fine...Android, not so much

This is my second ecocube and my first production version. My original ecocube was from their first kickstarter campaign. This ecocube is the base model and does not come with the humidifier or UV.Their is a companion app that allows you to adjust pump and fan settings. As well as set schedules for the lights. However while the app connects and is able to remote control the cube the schedule feature is broken. Since the experience is heavily relied upon setting schedule and this function is not working properly at the moment I have to dock a star.

At first I loved this little green house, especially it’s thunder setting (sadly lacking sound). I planted some aconite but sadly not even a week after arriving the pods that arrived with the green house grew mold like crazy.Day 1 perfectly fineDay 2 a little white spots on the seeds (thought it was debris from the seeds)Day 3 more white spots, thought it was some frostDay 4 I realized it was moldDay 5 I tossed the seeds and returned the itemHowever by then the ventilation system had blown spores into the airAnd I Had a cough ever since.Also the app doesn’t really work, it requires Bluetooth, also it doesn’t have a set system for if you close the appThunder from 6-8pm then shut off 8-3 doesn’t work. I had to set it manually and or check on it at certain times

do not buy this until they fix the app. the whole timer thing is not working at all. Dose not come with humidifier(they have it in their video) .

I blame the broken item on Amazon, otherwise it appears to be a quite well built item. However, it would be great to make it CRYSTAL CLEAR you cannot use this product with just any smart phone, but *must* have an iPhone to use the product.
