Really good heart-warming story.
This story was excellent and the only reason I rated as a 4 star book, was because I wished it were just a little bit longer. Then again when a book leaves you wanting more, it's the sign of a very good author.I found myself rooting for the three characters in this book. For Mikhail Benovich, because he needed to learn to trust and find the love that had been missing for his entire life, including his early childhood days. For Kristen, because she truly loved Mikhail with everything she had. He was willing to give her anything her heart desired, except the 2 things she really wanted and needed the most from him. His love and his trust. And last but not least, for Victoria. Victoria craved her father's love and attention too. She knew everything there was about her father and his work, but she never even got to see her father in person, until just before her 3rd. birthday when he showed up at the park where she'd been playing with her mother and cousins. She was the first one to spot him in the park and knew who he was right away. She was so excited to finally have her father there that she ran right up to him. When she finally got close enough she ran into his open and welcoming out stretched arms and hugged him as tightly as her little arms were able too..To say that Mikhail was shocked by his daughter's actions was an understatement. He had no idea that his daughter even knew who he was. After all, he had thought that his wife had lost their child, and had just learned of her existence just this morning when he ran across the last letter Kristen had written.. If he hadn't come across that letter Kristen that had sent while his secretary was out of the office, he might not have ever known about his child.Ahhhh yes, the devious secretary. The woman who did everything in her power to try to destroy their marriage so she could claim Mikhail for herself. She would block all of Kristen's phone calls, claiming he was in a meeting or out of town. She also hid all the pictures and numerous letters that Kristen sent over the years. And after he left on the plane to go find his daughter, she tried to burn all the evidence she had hidden, but was caught red handed trying to burn all the evidence in his office, by Mikhail's head of security and was not only fired, but was arrested right there on the spot.I highly recommend this book, even though I only gave it a rating of 4 stars. Like I said before, I tend to like longer stories with more insight of what happens down the road. This book end abruptly, or at least for me it did, right after they decided to stay together as a real family. They talked of having more children, and I would have loved to have at least a short epilogue at the end. Otherwise, it was a really heart-warming story.

an alpha his woman
Mikhail is a true alpha male with a tortured emotional past. His anger and hurt from that past keeps him from establishing deep relationships and knowing only how to get what he wants. He meets Kristen and knows he wants her. He gets her and when a crisis hits, instead of trying to work through it, he lets his anger lead him away from the one woman he truly wants in his life. Mikhail is hardened and believes he can withstand any pain until Kristen isn't there anymore.Kristen falls in love with Mikhail and tries to change her life to fit Mikhail's. When a life or death situation arises, she walks out. She believes she is leaving the right way by sending a letter to Mikhail at this office detailing her wishes and hoping he will come after her. Three years later, she is still waiting for Mikhail to heal her wounds.Kristen and Mikhail learn several lessons through their marriage and separation, one of which is person to person communication. An alpha male must learn to bend, forgive and trust if he wants to have a dream he never thought to have. A caring woman who loves an alpha must learn to be strong and fight for him instead of leaving.

Not worth the money, same as her other stories, too many mistakes.
This is the fourth book I've read from Elizabeth Lennox and it is pretty much the same story as the other books. The background of the hero is even the same as another character in a different book. I think this story could have been a lot better if she just would have explored some of the teasers she laid out and if the consistency in the story line was double checked.SPOILERSSome of the major things that bothered me:The hero has the exact same background as another character in a different book. Orphan who grew up on the streets of Russia, who didn't know his father and his mother was poor and could barely feed him until she died.Basically the same story as her other books. H and h end up sleeping together, then the h wants to get to know the H better so she says no more sex, but the H just touches her and she gives in "that won't happen again" but it does then the hero shares his big secret history/childhood (see above for the big secrets) and now everything is fine, happily ever after.Inconsistencies in the story.H tells h that he never knew his father, but then she is still saying things like "Your father wasn't in your life much, was he?" And "you never knew your father did you?" He just told you this 3 pages ago, so why are you acting like you just figured this out on your own?The hero doesn't own a cell phone??!?? This is suggested since his wife never once called it to tell him about the baby and then even vaguely mentioned, but then she tells him that she had sent him a text and he admits to receiving it. So he obviously has a cell phone and she has the number, but you would never call it (or send another text) to tell him about his child. I have a hard time believing this.Characters names are switched or changed throwing off your reading. Also he/she and his/hers is mixed up a lot making you reread to understand who she is referring to.Some foreshadowing was done with the assistant but was never followed up on. She makes some phone calls after she realizes he knows about his child, and she says thing have been set in motion. But what are these things? Who does she call? We never know. Then when he has his security go check his assistants office they find her burning the letters. In the office??!?? Really? We are expected to believe that she has a fire going in the middle of her office? Why couldn't she be shredding them or took them home to burn. Craziness. What I did like:I know that some people think it's to short, but that doesn't bother me. I just wish it was checked for consistency. Especially since it can be finished in just a few hours (or less) the errors become very noticeable.Final thoughts, don't pay $3 for it. Not worth it. I've gotten free books from Amazon that are much better and have become some of my favorites, this one can't even complete.

A nice bit of escapism
A great book, perfect for an evening of escapism. The story focuses Kirsten who moved away from her husband Mikhail in order to have a less stressful life while she's pregnant. For 3 years she sends him updates of his daughter, which unfortunately he doesn't receive. When Mikhail does receive a letter he heads to the town his wife is living seeking answers. When he gets there things don't add up so he becomes determined to find his answers. This is where the couples feelings for each other continue to remain and we see whether they can finally build their family life.A great story, a strong female and male lead, with the perfect ending

lovely warm feeling book but ...
The story read well and passed a pleasant afternoon when the rain poured down. but i was a little confused - spoilers - I read "the secretary thought of a plan" and sent emails to put her plan in action" but really besides the thing that she was caught doing - I don'tknow what her plan was. I was expecting some evil backlash that would have stalled the reunion. So I was a little lost. Otherwise nice easy story.I think the front picture gives a different feeling about the content of the book. The cover should be more wholesome, more family orientated.

A real feel good story
I really loved the Characters in this story. Mikhail is very much in love with Kristen and she in love with him but through the lack of communication and the help of Mikhail's jealous PA they are apart from each other for a few years. Their Daughter Victoria is an absolute Treasure and you can just imagine her wrapping her Big Alpha male Father around her little finger. I would like to read a story with a HEA for Bob (Kristen's next door neighbour). There are a few mistakes in this book but nothing to detract from the storyline. Recommended

Spelling
there were spelling mistakes throughout the text. I suggest you engage better proof readers. an engaging tale but the character of the child did not match.her dialogue and actions were too complex for her age . the only realistic behaviour was when she put blocks into.her mouth. Her logical conversations were beyond her years.
