USA Regular 5 ft Threaded Bar 14 LBS

I bought this bar to replace my Cap 7 foot standard bar. The Cap bar was beginning to show signs of bowing when I loaded it with anything over 150 pounds. First, this bar is TWENTY pounds, not 30 as described in the shipping weight at the bottom of the page, but it is MUCH more solid than the Cap bar. Also, the knurling on the bar is professional quality, machined much better than an old olympic barbell I used to own. Additionally, what I like about this bar is that is has the two rings on it like an olympic bar has to allow you to know where your hands should be spaced for a "legal" bench press. The bar is solid, and I haven't seen any signs of wobble or bowing with heavy weights. As a rule of thumb, I would not load more than 250 pounds on a standard bar. Once you start getting into heavier lifting, it's time for an olympic barbell. This is an awesome bar, and although it costs twice as much as the Cap bar, it is well worth your safety to have a better quality bar, and this does have the olympic bar dimensions from inner collar to inner collar so it will fit and olympic bench or power rack. I use this with my Powerline Power Rack. I would recommend this bar to anyone who has standard size weights and an olympic size bench or power rack.

Arrived today, well ahead of scheduled delivery, fit the new squat rack perfectly, handle 320 easily with no bend or arc....As I don't intend to use more than 320 on my squats ( I perform twenty rep sets per set and do any where from two to five sets on leg day as I am in my 60s) and now don't have to buy an Olympic set, this bar is perfect for what I wanted it for.The only odd things is that I just received a notice from Amazon telling me that it will be delivered on April 14, so maybe they are going to send me a second one for free! I'll take it...LOL!

Recently picked up a power rack to replace my junk bench, and all my weights were standard so I picked this up. It's a nice piece. However the ends are not threaded as the add States. I also noticed several people saying that in thier reviews so I knew I wasn't getting a threaded bar. Which is fine because I wanted a bar that wasn't threaded.The bar itself was straight with no obvious bends. The grips are pretty good too. Really aggressive. Might pick up some gloves once I get to heavier weights.

Overall the bar is worth the money. I had a good investment in weights and didn't want to have to re-buy Olympic style weights for the new rack I wanted and this bar works perfectly. I gave it 4 stars because the etching on one side is not as well defined which makes it harder for hand placement.

I really like mine and it was so cheap. It's big and the smooth ends make it easier to slide the weights on and off. I got mine very fast in the mail also.

I had to buy this weight bar because all my weights are standard and when i switched over to an olympic weight-bench the bar i was currently using was to short. this bar is exceptional. I like that it has marks on it to know where your hands should go just like an olympic-bar. It's a great bar. I like using it and am glad i bought it.

I've been using it for a few months now. Very good, solid bar. If you want the size and feel of an Olympic bar but are using standard (1") weights this is the way to go. It's basically an Olympic bar with 1" ends.

7ft bar. Hasn't bent on me. Feels solid. Grip is good. No complaints & I would purchase this item again if I needed it and I do recommend it.
