FP full size swings are a god send and this 2015 model can't be beat!
After purchasing this exact swing and now recommending it to two moms I know, I figured it was time I wrote a review. This is the one thing I wish we would have had day one, no question. We actually just had this latest model sent to us out in the UK (we are expats living in London, and unfortunately, these full size model FP swings are not sold in the UK) to replace an older hand-me-down one that had been given to us by a friend and had since died (in fairness, it was 7 years old).As someone who WAS NOT given this swing through the Vine program (tho, Amazon, take note, I'd love to be a reviewer for free swag!), AND someone who had to have it shipped all the way out to London, I wanted to give my unbiased opinion. The new models are really great! As a swing, they are big, but they are unquestionably worth their weight in gold. I'm not joking.I don't know what to say about the experiences people are having with loud motors and whatnot. I don't find it any more noisy that the older model FP cradle n' swings. Also, before I talk more specifically about why I recommend this swing, let me take a quick moment to compare it to another competitor's product as a way of introducing what it is about this swing that I think sets it apart. While pregnant, I purchased the Mamaroo bouncer that does a whole slew of different motions. It was the one thing I swore I just had to have based on all the glowing reviews, and went as far as purchasing it in the U.S. while there visiting family and lugging it all the way back to London while 6 months pregnant. I don't know another way to put it... it's just not fast enough to calm them when they're really upset, or fussy, or cranky, or resisting going down. Frankly, thus far, it has been the most useless thing I swore I wanted and had to have. Total waste of almost 300 bucks. I went for "looks" and for the hype surrounding Mammaroo, and I wish I wouldn't have.Where it comes to swings, I've found the rule of thumb to be this: the faster they swing the better. In fact, after I put my baby in the swing, and before turn on the swinging function and crank the speed to max, I actually rig the swing with extra weight by putting two liter-sized bottles of juice on either side of my son in the seat (the new Fisher Price models, this one included, weigh the baby each time before it starts swinging so that the speed always stays consistent as they grow and get heavier), so it weighs my son as being heavier than he is. Once it has weighed my kiddo (you'll know it has finished because the "weighing" process has a very distinctive sound when you first turn on the swing function... this may be what others are describing as the "loud" motor noise??) and begins to swing, I remove the extra weight, essentially rigging it to swing faster. Of course, if your kid isn't a motion freak like mine, the swing has six speed adjustable settings, so when really little, you can opt for slower if you wanted.God forbid your baby is collicky, but if they are, you'll thank me later. Frankly, even if they're not, as a sleep training tool or just a way to be able to reliably put the baby down in a safe spot for 45 minutes without a conniption while you have some mommy-time, I'd still recommend one.I like that FP has made the legs collapsible for slightly easier moving throughout the house. It's still a big swing, but it's less cumbersome to move now.I also like the variety of music and whatnot. It's not really an essential function for a swing, but it does help to drown out any peripheral noises to help the baby go to sleep. However, if I have any gripe with FP about their design and updates of their swings it is on this subject: they still continue to manufacture their swings with music/noise features that auto shut off after 20 or so minutes. Why? I literally can come up with no beneficial reason for their doing this. If a parent wants to shut the music off, they can do so manually. But having it shut off automatically is absurd as it may be A) drowning out background noises and thus be a sleep aid for helping the child get to sleep, which then B) wakes the child up when the sound/music stops after the 20 or so minutes.Other than that one gripe, I can't complain about this swing. It does the job we bought it for, and does it very well (much better/faster swinging motion than with older models)!

LOVE IT.. LOVE IT.. LOVE IT!!! Great purchase!
I purchased the blue Fisher-Price Starlight Papasan cradle swing from Walmart. It was beautiful, however, it was not blue (true to color as the image), instead it was purple, and the motor had a loud churning sound as if it was burnt out or dying. It was a scary sound and far from calming and definitely not tolerable. I immediately returned it and used my refund to purchase the Fisher-Price Moonlight Meadow cradle swing thru Amazon. My package arrived as scheduled, it was easy to put together, the fabric is beautiful and plush, the picture is true to color. I was nervous about the motor after reading so many negative reviews about motor issues with other models. However, with the Moonlight Meadow model, the motor clicks a few times for about a sec or so... just to get the swing going... but no annoying sounds after.. I LOVED IT.and I absolutely LOVE the ac adapter feature vs using batteries... My son is 3 months old and loves the swing and so do I. I am truly satisfied with my purchase and would definitely recommend this model. If you happen to buy a Fisher Price cradle swing that has a loud defective motor, TAKE IT BACK... it is not suppose to be loud at all.

This swing is ABSOLUTELY AWESOME, DONT PASS BY
I waited a few months before making a review because I wanted to see how or if the bad was as bad as described. I put the swing together alone when my daughter was about 2 months. We have used it everyday since then, EVERYDAY. My LO loves it, we typically use the swing on a setting or 2 or 3. She loves the nature sounds as well as the moving/rotating mirror. This swings sits on carpet, so I was not privy to the noise that those of wooden floor homes complained of, as far as i know, it does not make any noises. We typically have the swing plugged up (wall socket) and it remained in the home, so no travel or need for batteries. I really love this swing and so does my LO, I'm not really sure why I didnt out this on my baby shower list. Also, I was able to break this swing down into payments, another plus for new parents. Listen, get this swing. It is so worth your sanity and ability to atleast start dinner, vacuum, eat or sit a minute and watch TV; without always having to hold your LO. Enjoy!

I researched swings for months before having the baby and I'm so glad we ended up purchasing this one
This swing has been an absolute life saver for us. My baby has done so well in it from day one. He's 3 months old and still naps in it everyday. If we put him in his crib for naps he sleeps 40 minutes, but putting him in the swing he sleeps about 2 hours. It is big, but so worth it. It does make a clicking sound when it swings back and forth that's slightly loud, but we've found that it helps put the baby to sleep and it doesn't bother us. I researched swings for months before having the baby and I'm so glad we ended up purchasing this one. It's been perfect and I love the colors. It's pretty easy to assemble too. We have no complaints whatsoever and highly recommend it if you think your baby will do well in a swing. I've heard some babies hate swings but thank God ours does so well in it.
