MrCool Smart HVAC Controller Enhanced WiFi Kit for Ductless Split System

This takes your wall mount mini split and turns it into a WiFi capable unit. I love it because I can see exactly what the temperature is at my cabin when I’m and hour away. I set it and forget it. Works great!

I bought one for each of my Mr. Cool split-units and they work great! Installation was a breeze and now I can control my AC's with my phone. I'm so happy because I was looking at much more expensive options, and now I don't have to.

I would give it 5 stars, but wasn't thrilled about the $16 shipping and handling fee that was added to the price (same as their site). It's a USB wifi stick... come on.As for the device itself, it was easy to install. It now allows me to use my Split AC with my phone and with Alexa. I can turn the unit on when I am heading home which is great!

Like the title says, I used this to control my pioneer system in the garage.Super nice to have wireless control.

Just got it. Easy to connect and easy to set up the app. I have it working with Google Home. Only downside I see is that Google can only set the AC to COOL or HEAT but the MrCool app has more functionality.

Notes after 5 months of use. I bought this to have a better smart interface to my mini split. In short ,the device will not stay connected. The device sits within a strong AIMESH router set up. In the same area are smart cameras and other devices that have had no issues. The longest this device has stayed on line is about 48 hours. Many times the device (entire mini-split) must be totally powered off to reconnect.On the other hand the Mr Cool mini split HVAC itself works fantastic. This USB controller is a poor match to the system.Failed at 13 months.

I bought a Mr Cool that came with this smart HVAC module and they’ve sent me 2 different modules and none of them will stay connected to either my phone or the Mesh network I have.Don’t waste your money.
