I purchased this Stan Boutique Shower Drain Hair Trap In the color black to use in my rv camper after I had removed the screw from my shower drain to clean it out with baking soda and vinegar. When I was trying to remove the drain cover to clean out the built up hair and soap scum, the screw broke from it being so old and rusty. The camper is old and I wanted to have an extra drain hair trap to place over the drain cover since I could no longer screw it back in to give me extra protection from something going down the pipe. This sure did the trick. Not only does it stay put with the silicone around the edges but the drain holes on it are smaller and catch way more hair before it reaches the shower drain cover that is just sitting in place. It is easy to keep clean and with it being stainless steel I don’t have to worry about it rusting. It would definitely catch any rings or other jewelry that you might drop in the shower if you wear them while showering. Very affordable, comes in black, silver or available in a two pack (black & pink) which is cheaper per piece than a single one If you would need two. It works great and I would definitely purchase this product again and highly recommend it.

This works great. Catches hair wonderfully. I saw in the reviews people say it drains slow (well duh, you are covering your drain with something with small holes to catch the stuff you don’t want going down). It drained a little slower, but it is worth it to not have to pay for a plumber down the road. I like it. I will probably end up buying another for our other bathroom once it’s remodeled.

I have long hair and have struggled to find a drain catcher cover that works well. I was concerned at first because of the size, but found that it creates a perfect seal and keeps hair from going down the drain. I recommend this product.

This does not stay in place in our small shower as the rubber gasket does not grip at all. We have to make sure it doesn’t get bumped by our feet while showering, so a lot of the time it’s not over the drain doing the job it’s intended to do.

It slides around and does not catch care.

At our house, we frequently have to clean out our shower drain (no thanks to me). After only 2 hair washes, there was a lot of hair in the trap as opposed to in our drain. It was so easy to be able to just pick it up (without having to unscrew anything), wipe it clean/remove the hair with some Kleenex and move on with my day. Well worth the investment!
