Although this book contains hundreds of images throughout, narratively-speaking the book is divided into 2 main sections, with the first 100 pages providing a biography of Michelangelo, broadly categorized into his Florence and then Rome "life periods". The remaining 150+ pages subsequently provide narrative discussions/analyses of selected works in a variety of media. The book also has a brief Index. The quality of this book is excellent; reproductions are clean and crisp and beautifully colored, and the narratives are both informative and entertaining. For my money, this book provides a great introduction to the Artist and His Work.

It’s a cocktail table book in my home. The art inside is beautiful. The book has great information inside.
