Lysol Sport Laundry Sanitizer Additive, Sanitizing Liquid for Gym Clothes and Activewear, 0% Bleach, Eliminates Odor Causing Bacteria, 41oz

I use Lysol Laundry Sterilizer for washing any soiled linens or clothes for my elderly parent with severe urinary incontinence. I use this in combination with Persil Oxi + Odor Power laundry detergent.When the odors or stains are at their worst, I also add a scoop of OxiClean Odor & Stain Remover to the washing machine.This combination is the only thing I’ve found that COMPLETELY removes the strong scent of urine from clean laundry.I wish I didn’t need to add so many products to laundry, but it’s what works. While it costs more than I’d like, this Lysol Laundry Sterilizer works. Removing the strong odors has improved my quality of life, so I think buying this sterilizer is worth its cost.When I use this Lysol to remove body odor or less caustic smells, I only use between a half of a cap-one full cap per load. Using two cap-fulls of the 90 oz Lysol (what’s recommended on the back of the bottle) for every soiled load of laundry typically lasts me one month.Outside of removing foul scents from laundry, I also use this Lysol sanitizer to clean out my washing machine. Between times that I deep clean my washing machine, I’m more comfortable when I know my personal laundry isn’t being contaminated by another person’s soiled things.When the laundry smells the worst, I’ll add the Lysol Laundry Sanitizer to a basket of soiled laundry before putting it in the washing machine. After the laundry has had a chance to soak up the Lysol laundry sanitizer, I add a scoop of OxiClean Odor + Stain Remover to the load of laundry. Then, I put the actual laundry detergent (Persil with the orange label) in its intended compartment.This combination is the only thing I’ve found that COMPLETELY removes the scent of urine from clean laundry. The Lysol laundry sanitizer also helps to remove any stains that come from incontinence.If the laundry isn’t as soiled (or if it’s my own load of dirty gym clothes), I will add Lysol Laundry Sanitizer to a load of wash about 15-30 minutes before adding detergent and starting the machine. I’ve found that adding the Lysol Laundry Sanitizer to my filled washing machine before it begins or halfway through the cycle works best.I haven’t had issues receiving these bottles from Amazon with any leaks. The scent is pleasant, and not too strong. The laundry sanitizer smells fresh, similar to Lysol multi-surface spray.

I love this product because it is safe for colors. While bleach is able to help with disinfecting whites as well as killing odors, my colored clothing always suffered. There was still a smell in the clothing even after washing. THIS PRODUCT WORKS and is safe for colors! It gets rid of sweat smells and freshens the funkiest of socks! I am sold!

It works well but I don’t feel you need as much as it states on the bottle, it has a very strong scent.

Pleasantly effective, negates the stress of using bleach. The potency of it makes it a decent value too.

This product is incredible for taking deodorant and any bacteria or germs out of clothing! I purchased this item for my uniform since I work as a flight attendant and am trying everything possible to avoid getting ill (#covid-19). I knew that from time to time our washer failed to fully clean all reside off our clothing but this truly pulls it out of the fabric!I washed and dried my uniform and afterwards there was white dust on the outside of my jacket where the armpit area is. This was not visible when my jacket was put in the wash, or after previous washes. It actually broke down the deodorant that had transferred to my jacket so that when you shook out that area, the white powder comes right off. After seeing this I was extremely relieved that it was cleaning the fabric so deeply. I set my machine to give the load an extra rinse and this saved me from having to wipe off any remnant particles from my clothing.If you are someone who uses strong deodorant (ex. 24-48 hr protection like Secret, Degree, or Dove) I would HIGHLY recommend using this product since the deodorant often times leaves residue on the clothing. This residue will build up over time if not properly cleaned and lead to clothing beginning to smell or not fully ridding itself of smells or bacteria even after being washed. On that note, definitely use this when washing your socks and undergarments! You will see a big difference.The only downside I see to this item is that it can cause slight fading of particular fabrics. So I would not immediately use it on your favorite shirt, without testing it on some other items first.
