I purchased this scale to replace a scale that I use to weigh my portafilter/grounds for my espresso machine. When I wake up in the early morning, I don't always have my glasses on. Therefor, I really appreciate the large digital readout that this scale displays. In addition, I like the large platform on the scale. When I was shopping for a scale, one of the features that I wanted was that it had the ability to be plugged into ac power. I'm happy with that feature of this scale; however, I have a couple of grips. First, the power cord plugs in, in the front of the scale. This is the worst place for the power to plug in. The main reason why I wanted the scale to be plugged in, is that I wanted to be able to have the scale left on between drinks so that I wouldn't have to tare it for every drink. Unfortunately, there is no way to switch off the auto shut-off that other scales offer. I have also timed the auto shut-off. The scale I received, shuts off only after 60 seconds and not the two minutes that is listed in the description. There should be an option to adjust the auto shut-off or at least turn off the auto shut-off. If these changes were made, this would certainly be a five star scale!

I liked this scale fine for six months, it was a daily use item for cooking and baking. Then with no abuse, one morning it wouldn’t turn on. I think six months is not a good longevity for a scale. Accuracy was good enough, maybe not consistent in 0.1g increments but sufficient for home use.

Does the job

Nice scale...accurate...used for coffee. Stopped turning on after 5 months...let seller know...no replacements or subs available but they did credit me the purchase price ASAP.Seller was responsive...always appreciate that.

I bought this scale to replace an older one, and was looking for two key features. First, I wanted a scale that measured to the tenth of a gram. Second, I wanted one that wouldn't auto shut off in 60 seconds or less. This scale addresses both issues, and is much cheaper that the scales recommended on the espresso machine sites. Granted, this isn't water proof, and does not have a shot timer, but I'm only really using it for dosing the shot, and checking how much espresso ends up in the shot glass. If you're not looking to spend over $200 on an Acaia scale, this is what you want.

I needed a scale to weight packages as I sell online. This works fantastic! It’s just right! Super easy to use and had many options for weighing. Great for kitchen use, as well, for witch it was designed for. Great value fir the money. I highly recommend if you need a scale! The backlit screen makes it easy to read and the numbers are just the right size!
