Ousipps 2 Pack Men Breathable Mesh Summer Hat Newsboy Beret Ivy Cabbie Flat Cap

I received the Ousipps 2 pack summer hat to review. I thought it would be a nice alternative hat for summer wear. I normally like to wear a dark hat or even a camo baseball hat, but I thought I would give this beret/golfer style hat a try. The first thing I did was to try the black one on. Oops too small. Well there are adjustment clasps on each side. I let them out all the way and the black one was still a bit tight. Now I normally wear a 7 3/8' hat so I do have one big head. So next I tried on the white one; well it fits perfectly. I even had a bit more room to let out. The problem here is, I really do not like white hats. Maybe if I was a golfer this would be perfect. So I let out the black one as far as possible and went about wearing it for the day. The temperature was in the upper 70's that day. I took my daily walk in the black hat and later mowed my yard (about 2 hours) in it. I thought the hat was nicely designed and would keep my head cool. I found out different. The hat wasn't any cooler than my baseball hats and actually felt hotter to me. This may be just my opinion. I know looking at the open mesh design you would think otherwise. Based on the $11.99 price, this seems like a fair price for 2 hats. I wouldn't say a bargain, but fair. I did get complimented on the black hat. If you find the look of this hat appealing, I would say go for it.

Cool in more ways that one ... I like the 'newsboy cap' (aka flat cap, aka driving cap) style as just a kinda kitschy throwback look, but in this version they're made out of a lightweight polyester mesh rather than something like wool. This makes the cap light and airy, suitable to wear in warm weather without making your head all sweaty. The quality is good, seams are all sewn solidly, no overruns or loose threads. The bill is slightly curved, feels like a plastic form inside the fabric rather than the cardboard that traditional baseball caps use in their bills, and if so then this hat would be machine washable. Sweatband inside, and size adjusting buckles on each side of hat means you can actually tighten it or loosen it to fit your head better.

I was wondering what kind of reaction I would get when I presented hubs with these mesh caps yesterday but he really likes them! He even wore one today to a meeting he had to attend. They have an adjustment strap on each side and he had to loosen them some so the cap was not tight on his head. The material is very durable and definitely is good for air circulation. They look like regular newsboys/driving caps except they are mesh and great for warm weather wearing. The black cap is very black, and the white cap is very white. They look exactly as pictured on the product page.

I like these hats because they are light and comfortable -- and they fit my large head! They are made from a soft but breathable material that will be good for warm days. Both hats are identical except for the color. The black is very black and the white is bright white. They have two adjustment straps in the back off-center, rather than the typical one strap. Is it better? Time will tell, but I was able to adjust the straps that make the hats fit my head very comfortably.

My husband loves wearing newsboys caps wherever he goes. He really likes these. The gray cap is thicker and has a foam liner that feels very comfortable on my husband's bald head. The beige cap doesn't have the liner, so it allows greater air flow, making it perfect for warmer weather.
