I bought 4 of these to make communication easier for my elderly parents throughout their home. I was mainly interested in the "monitor" feature, as mom broke her leg and would require much bed rest while healing and when she needed something all she should have to do is speak . Well the sensitivity to activate this requires someone to speak LOUDLY and the person must be no further than 2 feet from the unit to pick it up. Also the buttons are very difficult to read and they all look the same, so pushing the proper button is sometimes a guessing game. Again, these are elderly people operating these and may be easier for average adults to navigate. Overall the operation of the units is satisfactory and range between the units hasn't been a factor.

I have these in each room of my house. They work fine, but the backlit buttons are extremely bright with no way to dim them. Otherwise, they work fine

In brief, I think these are basically desk-top walkies talkies and they are super easy to setup. I bought them mainly for calling my kids to come downstairs for dinner or something. Usually, I shout on top of my lungs to get their attention. Sometimes, I have to go upstairs to get them. Now, I only need to put one in their room and "call" them from downstairs. It rings loudly. Most important, it is fun to use. They compete to be the first to pick up my "call". This works especially well for my younger kid. The only thing that I was kind of disappointed was that I thought it had an embedded chargeable battery when I saw the charger and cable, but it doesn't. Anyway, it is very well-made, has high-quality and compact size, and, most importantly for me, it is fun to use. Highly recommended!!

I bought this for an elderly person's bedroom and the monitor does not work well for this purpose as it is voice activated and I needed to dear all sounds, even when my mother calls me I don't hear her. I had to buy a baby monitor instead. It was pass the return date so I am stuck with useless equipment.Total waste of money. I bought it to monitor my sick mother. Only does it if you push button plus made loud noises. When I emailed the site for help, no one responded. You are much better off buying a a baby monitor at a reputable store.

My Mom and I think these Intercoms are Awesome. They make life so much easier for both of us.Our bedrooms are at opposite ends of the house. She used to have to yell to me if she need anything. Now all she has to do is hold down a button to speak or hold down a button to ring me.The buttons and numers are large enough for someone to use that has trouble seeing or has hand dexterity issues. The set is easy to use and easy to set up. And I believe well made.The packaging was very secure and arrived right on time.If you purchase these you won't be sorry. I would recommend these to anyone.

Gosh I love this product already and wished I had done it sooner. The ease of not getting some annoying sound that make you jump out of your skin. To a voice that says can I get an extra blanket is so cool. No more spending a ton on those cheap little battery ones, they ate batteries that had to be changed just about every week. it took a lot of playing with and trying a bunch of different channels and changing the buttons in the back to find one that actually started to work. One of the boxes has a bit of static but I can live with it, hope they hold up because they really don't look very sturdy. Then my disabled loved one has a hard time sometime following directions so I put white tape with a hole in it around the talk button and with the blue light it kind of glows in the dark, so I put it on even the one I use and it is perfect. These devices I would recommend so far but just got them today LOL!!!!!
