F3 Oil Drain Plug M14x1.5mm - Engine Oil Pan Protection Plug with Anti-Leak & Anti-Vibration Function - Install Faster, Re-usable and Eco-Friendly

This is an outstanding technically advanced drain plug compared to the original OEM drain plug that fits in a Ford Explorer V6 (X) engine in that the green rubberized material ring around the shaft and also use the same material for a gasket washer to seal perfectly with the engine oil pan drain orifice. This green sealant material is made to expand slightly (in microns) with the heat of the oil and metal contact of the oil pan extending to this this metal SMART Drain Plug. There is no need to over torque this drain plug as just slight tightening, less than a quarter clockwise turn will make a perfect seal and keep this drain plug secure from loosening and falling off. The only improvement I would hope one day this company makes on this drain plug is a MAGNETIZED TIP as this is a non-magnetic drain plug, but otherwise perfect for it's intended use. I also hope this company makes a similar product for my transmission drain. I highly recommend this product, sure glad Amazon provides this item as I haven't seen this plug in the auto parts stores yet?

It did what it said. As many have experienced my old truck was butchered by the previous owner(s). Drain plug over tightened and the surface was distorted. This plug is a life saver. I was dripping about a table spoon of oil every 8 hours since the stock plug with new gasket could not seal against the less than flat surface. This plug installed easily and and the green gasket swelled within a few minutes and stopped the drip completely.I don't care if I have to buy a new plug every year. It's easier and cheaper than replacing the oil pan.

I took my Stratus in for an oil change at a shop and noticed it started to get drips of oil on my drive way. I ended doing the oil change myself and noticed it was tighten so hard, that it literally took everything I had to get the plug loose. I noticed that there was no gasket! I knew at that time this jerk used an impact wrench or something to get it in.Story sort, this thing stopped the oil leak. I am so happy.FYI, when I was getting it in, it I felt resistance and decided to stop worrying I might tear more threads.... that was a mistake. I found it leaking and was able to tighten it more. The O-Ring was causing the resistance.

Arrived on time.However, this item did NOT fit my vehicle, '07 base model mini R56! It was too small and went right into the drain hole without even touching the existing threads! This is the second time i have ordered an oil drain plug and received the wrong size plug! The last time was at a local parts store, which prompted me to order one that claims it fit.That being said, i can say that when i went to place the plug and it went into the hole and was in contact with oil, the green product DID swell considerably! I noticed it after i removed the plug, wiped it off with a rag, laid it on the ground and said some swear words.I gave it 4 stars because i witnessed how it worked and with it being less than $10 i didn't get upset and contact seller for return, but be aware it may not fit your mini!Note: the drain plug i have in place on my mini utilizes a torx bit to remove not a hex head socket.

Fit perfectly with the oil pan that I buy , worth the price

I am very happy with this product. The wife's car was do for an oil change but the dealership stripped the oil plug so i found this one. I like that the head is bigger than the original manufactures. I was able to hand screw it in tell i hit the green ring. Then with the socket wrench the rest of the way tell it was snug. It fits like a new bolt should, snug. I did not have to force anything. It has only been a week so we will see how long it last but it felt like it was good quality. My only complaint is that it did not arrive on time. It was meant to show up on a Friday so i could have done the oil change over that weekend but it was pushed tell Saturday (late Saturday) so i had to wait tell the next weekend. Overall I like it and because it is black and the under body of the Ford Focus is bare metal I can find it quickly. Sorry for no photos but it is underneath the car.

Product was nice to look at but did not do the job. I bought this to help with the oil leak. It did not work. It leaked so much, that I had to keep pouring in oil until I received a new oil plug. Do not buy. The green gasket is too soft and was torn off before I put the new one on.

I had a troubled oil pan... someone had cross threaded the original pan bolt. Thanks to this anti-leak plug, which has a main seal and a thread o-ring, I was able to stop the pan from leaking even though I cannot torque to the factory spec. Well worth the price.

Already installed and it did the job, no more leaks.

Does not fit Jeep JK as stated by Amazon!
