HP Pavilion DV9000 SATA HDD Hard Drive Caddy Kit

Necessary to add a second drive to laptop. Bonus that it includes the right angle connector for the drive interface. All screws included.

This caddy is what HP should be including with their laptops. Works great!

The mounting side screws stuck out and hit the rubber bumpers on the side. Otherwise it works fine.

The bracket fits the hard drive to a tee. Was easy to install over the hard drive and plug into the notebook. No problems with the hardware.

Perfect for the Samsung Hard Drive I installed in my HP Notebook. Very easy to install.

The case for the hard drive fit perfectly. The problem was with the connecter that comes with the kit. First, the plastic guide was broken. Even so it should have worked but the problem was that the fingers of the connector slipped into place inside the notebook computer with no resistance. This caused the computer to not see the hard disk.

The SATA adapter that comes with the caddy is too short compared to the OEM one from HP. The pins don't make full contact with the sata port on my dv9000 laptop. The only solution is to not fully seat the adapter on the drive you are using so mine is essentially only half seated on the drive.Also the plastic "guide" snapped. I'd like to add that the SSD I used this caddy on was an SSD straight from HP so there shouldn't be a reason for it not to fit right.

got it on time. only 1 screw is missing. it is not a major problem.
