The story is a great addition to the Masters of the Castle series, which each story reads well as a stand-alone. There will be key people in the story from previous ones, but if you have missed them, you won’t be lost. The Castle is a secluded and very private BDSM castle that has been constructed in Ohio, salvaged from a castle in Scotland that was going to be razed. It gives the guest the true feel of a Castle, with dungeon, etc. but still has modern conveniences and state-of-the-art security. It allows both singles, and couples to play in a safe, sane, consensual arena of non-judgmental, like-minded folks, while offering total anonymity during the stay, with each guest using a fictitious name during their stay. The Castle has both Masters and submissives that work there for the enjoyment of guest.It is always fun to visit the castle again, and with this book, we go to the Island of Paradise that has been created by a friend of Master Marshall. Unlike the castle in Ohio, La Isla del Paraiso is in the Caribbean and will take the guest back to the seventeenth century including pirates and pirate ships. When Dungeon Master Dominick draws the short straw and is sent to help oversee the operation, Masters, and policies he is extremely unhappy about it. Maddy Cameron, who has been brought to the resort by Rita to write a promotional review, she has only lived a vague and vanilla lifestyle but has her fantasies.The plot kept me captivated with the extensive cast of characters, troublemakers, brats, and scenarios. The interaction between Master Dominick and Maddy has its ups and downs, he refuses to allow her to belittle herself and shows her domination and passion. When one guest crosses the line and enlists the help of resort staff by bullying another guest, it is dangerous and must be dealt with harshly. Making fun of people and snide comments about size and shape are never acceptable. This story is part of the Master of the Castle series but can read well as a standalone.

It has been a while since we've had a Masters of the Castle book so I was very excited to see a new entry in the series. I bought it without even reading the blurb. But while this story features our favorite Gaoler this story takes place off site. This time Dominick is sent to help a friend set up their own BDSM resort located in the Caribbean islands. We are also introduced to Maddy at the beginning of the book to set up what makes her tick.I did enjoy this story overall and it was a lot of fun once things really got started but I was a bit disappointed in the change of venue and felt that the beginning of the story seemed to drag a bit because we had to spend some time building up this new world.But things do heat up and after several ups and down we do end up with a couple that are meant for each other. The Epilogue at the end really helped make up for any slowness at the beginning and really loved what was revealed.I wonder if there is a spin off series in the future full of piratety island fun.

I've enjoyed the whole Masters of the Castle series since coming to it from the When the Gavel Falls anthology (which is a brilliant read), but this is by far my favorite in the series. Dungeon Master Dominick is a sadist to fall in love with, while BBW Maddy is a sweet submissive finally giving herself permission to explore her true nature. The chemistry between Dominick and Maddy is fabulous and I'll never forget the flower bed scene.I appreciated that this story didn't follow the usual plot of the lovers finding each other, falling out and coming back together after an estrangement. Their troubles are all external. It would have been out of character for mature, thoughtful Maddy to make the usual flighty decision that leads to the estrangement, and I really liked that this story didn't go this way.Fans of Cherise Sinclair will love this series, but this book is worth a special look and is going on my favorite reads shelf to enjoy again and again.

This is everything you'd expect from a Masters of the Castle novel and so much more. With each and every book, Ms. Smith pulls out unbelievable stories from downright irresistible heroes. With each book, I just know that THIS will be the best MOC book I will read. And with each addition, I am proven wrong. So was the case with "Maddy Mine". Initially, I wasn't sure what to think about a book that does not take place inside the Castle, but what we are given is a beautiful island full of would-be Masters that must be "whipped" into shape by the infamous goaler Master Dominick. Dominick is arrogant beyond words and ultimately, hilarious as hell. I have never been so emotionally wrapped up in a book that also kept me laughing. It is a story for the heartstrings, for sure, as Maddy finds unlikely love with the man who has been known to show women their limits and push them over. Not so, with Maddy. Instead, he loves her in just the right way, healing her hurt of the past and making her whole again. A delightful sweet read with many sexy romps. I will read again.

Best story ever! EVER! I got an advanced copy but couldn't wait to read it in Kindle format! From the beginning Dominick was my favorite! I was afraid the he would turn into a jerk like Dan or go all high protocol like Nolan (of Shadowlands) or worse - share her. But he didn't.She's the piece that's missing in his life. The one he's been waiting his whole life to protect and love. He is the one she has been waiting to protect her and love her, allowing her to feel safe enough to love back.She's broken, but it's not so obvious to everyone else. But in a way, so is he. Emptiness in its own way is broken.Two halves coming together. A woman with a deep need to submit is found by the one that had a deep need to be submitted to. And discover only the other one can meet that need.It brought out a humanity in Dominick. The book was clearly a labor of love for the author. Perhaps her own story of finding the one.

Instant attraction, funny and sexy. Making the best of bad situations. Great characters and chemistry. No cliffhanger and hea. Great series.

Another great book from Maren Smith. A slight change of setting from the Magical Castle but with a sprinkling of the previous cast, this one centres around Master Dominick, the Castle's Master Gaoler, as he travels to the Caribbean to help set up a similar resort, this one with a pirate theme. On the way he meets journalist Maddy and the adventures begin. Maren never disappoints and this is a super addition to the Masters of the Castle series. With a chubby,sweet heroine ( and she was never going to get away with putting herself down in front of Master D was she?) and a masterful, arrogant, sadistic Dominant, sparks fly. A fantasy setting, lots of spanking, yummy sex and touching characters, add in a jealous bitchy baddie and hey presto a great read! This is the seventh in the series but can be read by itself. I am sure as soon as you finish this one you will be unable to resist the lure of the Castle. Highly recommended for fans of spanking, bdsm, fantasy and romance, one you won't be able to put down.

I loved everything about this story. It is well written and well described as expected from this author. There are plenty of spankings and lots and lots of hot spicy sex. The characters are very human, full of flaws and very human. Maddy and Dominick are both lovely and lonely. They are both searching. This is a great addition to the Masters of the Castle series. I hope Master Marshall is not upset by this book!! I highly recommend it

Yes master Dominck we get his story . A really good story a nd Maddy was his perfect lady .all the books in this series have been really good. Hope we have more to come .and maybe revisiting some again . That would be good too . Highly recommend this series .

Love this one. Another great book in the series. I love getting to know all the different characters and how there stories over lap.

It was great to read Dominick's story at last.
