the gate was fairly easy to install and works as needed. it looks great and keeps my toddler safe. my one disappointment is that it's not easy to open the gate (especially with a baby in my hands)

The gate is just what I was Looking for to keep a puppy away from a set of stairs but easy for us to get around when we needed to to go upstairs. Various ways to install the gate inside mount, outside mount, or one side of each. The gate appears to be well made as well as the 9 inch extension. How ever the beautifully printed on glossy paper booklet is a horror to follow. It makes a simple installation appear to be extremely complicated. Easier if you watch the installation video on the Baby Dan website. Customers have been complaining about this as far back as the 2015 (the point at which I stopped reading) reviews. Baby Dan should start reading the reviews.

This gate is amazing! It allows us to have a gate that is usable for both the dog and our grandson, but it neatly folds up so it is not a constant obstruction. This is the best gate I've found. The directions aren't great, but once it is up, it's fantastic.

this works great, but you get far too small of a panel for the cost. I knew how much I was getting, but I was disappointed that I needed to order 2 extensions (I'm only using half of the 2nd extensions) to go across my just slightly wider than average stairs. Otherwise I highly recommend this gate.

This is the only gate I found that will adapt to a great number of opening sizes without getting too tight or too loose. The system they have of small and large additions makes it very easy to configure it to the right size. Also, when you open it, the gate retracts to the wall and out of the way!We even had an additional challenge: one of the sides of the stain is GLASS. With a little creativity we made it work!

I bought this gate to keep our two chihuahuas corralled inside our kitchen when we are gone. We were previously using the traditional wood and wire extension baby gate and it was cumbersome. This is so much better! It came today and I installed it within about an hour. I also purchased two extension pieces to make the gate long enough for our opening. Some people commented that the extensions keep the gate from folding flat and that isn't true. You just have to make sure you pay attention to the bends in the gate and insert the extensions accordingly. The instructions are only pictures, but I followed them okay.

Instructions are poor, however it was not hard to assemble and the gate works great.

You definitely need this if you live in the USA. Easy to install and make the gate work.

We have awkward stairs at the bottom and have really struggled to find a stair gate.Bought this gate along with the extension and it’s perfect. Able to install at an angle, looks tidy out and when it’s folded away against the wall, easy to use and my 5 year old is able to use it without help.

Wir benötigten einen Treppenschutz der besonderen Art, da wir im Treppenhaus eine Schiebetür verbaut haben und die gängigen Modelle immer unpraktisch waren. Entweder passte das Befestigungssystem nicht, oder querstangen unten brachten mehr Risiken zum Stolpern als dass sie Sicherheit gaben. Wir haben dann schließlich den Baby Dan Treppenschutz gefunden und hier gleich noch die Verlängerung dafür gekauft. Und ich muss sagen es hält bombenfest, die Tür ist spielend leicht zu öffnen (einfach mit dem Daumen nach vorn ziehen und runter drücken) und schon geht die Tür auf und zieht sich auch allein wieder zusammen. In geschlossenem Zustand wirkt sie für mich auch sehr stabil, selbst bei unserer Schiebetür, da wir diese am Ende einrasten können und sich so nichts ungewollt verschiebt.Tolles Produkt!
