Incredible
Some years back, a client of mine who is a dermatologist, said to me that the biggest problem with men and their skin, especially as they age, is that we don't use the proper type of moisturizer. He recommended African shea butter. I started using that, and it was a game changer in that it improved the overall health, moisture level, and quality of the skin; it also evened out the tone of the skin. I've used shea butter daily for over 10 years. I believe it in so much that I even give it out as gifts.Then...I found this stuff. This mango nut butter takes skin health to an entirely new level. It's like putting on a layer of liquid air. It completely absorbs within a couple minutes and leaves your skin soft and supple literally for a whole day or more. While shea butter performs similarly, mango butter seems lighter, and I far prefer it.It's solid at room temperature. You can just take a clump and hold it in the palm of your hand and it will melt right away. To help with that issue, what I do is warm up 8 ounces on low in a saucepan until it melts. I then add 2 tablespoons of coconut or palm oil, mix w/ a wire whisk, and pour into two 6-ounce mason jars w/ plastic lids. By adding the coconut or palm oil, it reduces the density of the mango butter, and therefore makes it more pliable and easier to use. After transferring into mason jars, I place the liquid in the freezer for about 15 minutes (just long enough to re-solidify). Then remove (this prevents the butter from forming lipid clumps or crystallization). I typically put two drops of cedar or sandalwood oil into the mixture to add a very mild bit of scent.I keep one on the container on the bathroom counter, and the other one in the shower. For maximum moisturizing effect, I apply the mango butter to my body just after I finish showering BUT before I towel off. This locks maximum moisture into your skin. It works better than anything I've tried.

Hair conditioner, overnight cuticle softner endless uses.
Wonderful product. This product IS hard right out of the jar and feels gritty but that is 100% normal. Don't think that the product is bad or old. I warm the amount I want to use in an old small saucepan. I don't wash the pan because I melt/soften other butters and use the same pan. I store the pan in a large zip lock bag in the refrigerator. I use the melted butter, very sparingly, on my hair starting at least 2 inches from the roots to the ends and leave on while gardening or working out or doing housework. Apply with fingertips and not your whole hand like creamy conditioners. It will be hard to distribute and any loose strands will become a gummy mess on your hands. Then wash hair normally. I also pour the melted butter into a shallow covered jar and leave on the bathroom sink. This way I can swirl my finger on the top of the butter and it melts just enough to use on wrinkles dry skin etc. This is very concentrated and it is better to use a little all the time instead of a lot at once. If your hair is dry one 'treatment' won't work and if you use too much you will be left with a mess that will not wash out. Think fertilizer. Using a lot all at once won't give you the results you desire. The best results are achieved by following the directions to dilute the product if using a concentrate and using over an extended period of time. I love to use a tiny bit on my eyebrows. They stay in place and have a bit of sheen. Possibilities are endless. Everyone might not believe me but my grandmother and great grandmother used hydrogenated shortening on their skin and had beautiful complexions. I'm not saying anyone should do the same but it was something they had during the depression.

Great moisturizer so far...
Just got this, so have no long-term experience with it yet. However, I have tried it as is and do like the end result. Getting there is a little time consuming, though, because it does have a tendency of pilling up as you try to rub it in and doesn't melt as evenly at skin temp as coconut oil in its solid form. Still, it seems worth the effort as it does make your skin feel super moisturized and smooths away the oh so lovely orange-peel appearance of my arms. It has very little odor, not entirely odorless, but faint enough a couple drops of an EO will cover up the slightly musty smell the mango butter emits. I have also mixed it with a little apricot oil so it would go on easier, and that seemed to do the trick. By melting it and adding a little oil that stays an oil, it now goes on easy, no pilling. According to what I've read, this stuff is packed with goodness for your skin, so definitely worth trying in a homemade lotion. Because of its strange scent, maybe not ideal for lip balms, but perhaps once you melt it completely for your recipe and add all the other stuff that is no longer a problem. Not sure if all that melting harms the effectiveness of it... I will say it is less greasy than cocoa butter, so should work great as a substitute (I think-haven't actually tried it yet) in a recipe that calls for it. This stuff is also slightly softer than cocoa butter, so if you're thinking of using it straight out of the jar as a moisturizer, it can be done, albeit not without a little work.As to the seller, this jar came quickly and was securely packaged and the price was certainly right. Will likely order from them again.
