Tallulah's Solo

A book about disappointment, helping others, and working through big emotions
I like how Talluah has to work through disappointment - she helps her brother - and is proud of what she does before she gets rewarded. And her reward is that hard work is acknowledged and then she gets her solo a few months later. So delayed gratification. My daughter loves this book and the first in the series. I’m sure we’ll get all the others too.

Great book print too small
The print was too small on the kindle ap fo my phone and couldn't be increased. It would be great if it showed just one page at a time over the full screen insead of two

language
My daughter loves Tallulah's Tutu. I like the message in Tallulah's Solo and I think the ending is sweet and charming but... I always appreciate when someone gives me an inappropriate language warning as this story uses the word "stupid" twice. The book isn't glamorizing this word and if you have older children they'll understand the concept but I'd rather wait as long as I can before my child is introduced to mean language. Anyway, I change it to silly when I read out loud and it works just fine. Just be aware if reading to younger children.

These books are adorable.
My 4yo daughter and I love these books - the illustrations are delightful and the story is wonderful. Tallulah can be a little bratty, but she learns her lesson in the end. The relationship between her and her little brother is pretty cute and judging from our own household (my daughter has a little brother too), it's pretty accurate!

beautiful illustrations--great moral to the story
We have two Tallulah books now. the illustrations are gorgeous and the story line is very good for teaching kids the importance of patience and hard work and caring for others. My two little girls who are in ballet class love these stories.
