Easter: A Selection of Verses from the King James Bible Hardcover – February 10, 2015

Easter by Jan Pienkowski. I am very pleased with this book and think it will become a clasiic in our home. The pictures are pretty and the sillouettes make for an interesting point of view. The text is all from the King James Version of the Bible. I am very familiar with KJV, but for some reason I found this text difficult. It did not seem to flow well and I found myself rereading, just to understand. I think it may have helped if the scripture references had been on the pages with the text. Then you could have seen when you were going from one passage to another.It also has a lot of text for a child's illustrated book. It would be hard to keep a young child's attention. But I do think it will be one that they could look through and just look at the pictures on there own. There is a lot more than just Jesus' death and resurrection in this book. The story includes the washing of Jesus' feet, the Last Supper, the batrayal and death of Judas, also Peter's denial. All in all I am very happy with this book and am glad I bought it. I would recommend this book, especially if you are wanting to add it to a collection of other books to read at Easter time.

Gorgeous book! As is the Christmas one this author did. Truly worth having in your own library! I just LOVE the silhouettes!

This is my favorite Easter book. The text comes right from the New Testament ending in The Great Commission.

Fabulous illustrations. A treasured family book. I am surprised it has gone out of print. Along with the 'Christmas' book, it's an absolute classic.

Beautifully printed and produced, the illustrations are divine. The text is hard for children, but they will grow into it.

I chose it because as a family we have enjoyed his Meg and Mog books.We were not disappointed. Wonderful pictures and the best of words.
