We've had this for a few months now, and it has not given out at all. Even after weeks of rain and clouds, the light still stayed charged and did not get damaged. We turned it on and left it on all night (on purpose) because of wild pigs, and in the morning as the sun was coming up, it was still brightly lit.Motion is only detected where the light is facing, and then dims to 30% when there is no motion but does not turn off (I wish it would). We mostly use it for cooking outside on our patio in the evening (or nights), and very bright for 800 lumens.PROS: Very well built, hardy construction. Battery life is amazing! Charges even on cloudy days. Settings for bright and dim. Can rotate 360° and tilt 180°. Long wire for good panel placement.CONS: Sensor for the remote is on the face of the light, does not work if facing away from you. Light does not completely turn off for motion sensor setting.

Update:As a test I decided to only connect the lamp + solar panel and let put it in the sun to charge and see what happens. At night the 2nd unit was working.I decided to only swap the "other defect lamp" with the 2nd one that was working.To my surprise..it would not turn on all of a suddenSo I thought it had to be the solar panel. I swapped it the next day now the 2nd unit has been working flawlessly for the last 2 days. It was turned on for about 9 hoursTo my surprise the 1st unit that I had taken off..the lamp is now turning ok with the remote. I let it charge the whole day and will hang it on in the weekend.So both units are working at the moment.The only reason I will give it a 4 star is because 1 off the packages is missing the bracket for the solar panel.‐-----------------------I have followed the installation instructions but unfortunately the lights will not turn on after 1 day of charging when using the remote controller.Any suggestion how to troubleshoot would be appreciate it, since I live abroad and had 2x units shipped from USA. Would like to prevent the hassle of returning both packages and wait weeks to get a new unit

I needed some extra lighting on the side of the house.. Didn’t want to have to pay an electrician a ton of money to wire in a conventional flood light. A friend of mine told me that these exist.. I’m so happy I took a chance with it, my husband had it installed in 15 minutes.. The solar panel holds an amazing amount of juice.. we have not had hardly any sun this past week, and The light is still shining bright with accurate motion detection.. Life saver! Very happy customer!

I have purchased hundreds of items on Amazon and this light has to be in my Top Five. And this is the first time I have taken time to write a review for any product. Not only is it simple to set-up, the light is very bright. After the first few weeks I was so happy I bought another one. It is remarkable how much solar battery power this light has. I strictly use the Dusk to Dawn function and even after a day (or days) with limited sunshine, this light will last the entire night and into the morning. Only once after a day of steady rain did it not last until morning. The remote control function is useful but it does not have much range. No problem; I didn't buy it for that. It is perfect for an area without electricity. Set it up and you'll never have to mess with it.

This is the second time I purchased this light they work great, We used the first one to light the art work my son David painted for a friends barn, it's bee in use for 2 years and doesn't miss a beat. The last one is being used to light up a gold fish pond. They are both set to come on at dark, the one on the barn will stay lit all night, we have the one on the pond come on at dark and turn off at 3 hours. Very satisfied

REVISED 8-29-19.....the seller contacted me concerned with my not being happy with the light and they sent me a different light which is a little brighter. I was impressed with their wanting to make me happy.8-8-19. I read the reviews before buying this product and from what everyone was saying I bought this light thinking it would be bright enough to light up a 6x12 sign in front of my business...…………..wrong! This light may be fine over a small doorway or something but that's about it.

I like the product and it gives off a great deal of light! It was working great for over a year and then wouldn’t keep a charge. I contacted the costumer care and they quickly responded and are sending out a replacement even though it was over a year that I purchased it. I was very please with the care they provided! Quick and responsive. Thanks again for the great service.

This light actually works dusk to dawn. Has 2 power settings. On the lower setting it puts out a good amount of light. On high it’s super bright. Big solar panel for charging. One nice feature is it has the battery in the solar panel so if it ever goes bad it can be removed and replaced.

Initial purchase: quality in terms of build. Unfortunately the light lasts an average of about 4 hours max then dies. It stopped responding to the remote shortly after installation.Update: Jan, 2021. I was pleasantly surprised when Awanber kindly issued me an unsolicited replacement. This one works just fine. The first unit was just a blip in Q/A, I guess. Not used to this quality of customer support. Quietly impressed - hence this revised rating.

Was very easy to install and the features were neat - stopped working after the first night and won’t respond to the remote anymore.Too bad - seemed like a good product.Update: started working after my taking it down to send back. Now not sure.Update 2 : seems to be working fine now... not really sure what has changed but seems fixed . Updating to 4 stars to reflect.

It's very good product I have some tape on both sides of solor panel was in sun 13 hours min but light was on half brightness lasted all night very good product also 8watt solor panel helps to charge battery highly recommend this product

Have not tried the motion detection as I need this for dusk to dawn operation at our cottage. So far with a full days sun light charge, I can see from our outdoor security camera the light stays on till dawn when using it on half strength. Im very happy so far with this light.

This light worked great for about 6 months if that! The warranty is crap cuz I can’t find anything about it so that tells me there isn’t any. There is no place to change any battery and the stupid thing will not work anymore. And it isn’t waterproof like they tell you. What a waste of $56.99! I won’t likely buy another one and waste more money it’s too hard to come by these days.
