Miracle Sweet Erythritol - 15 lb

If you are like me, you try to avoid sugar in what you buy and eat. And if you are like me, you definitely like "sweet'. Avoiding sugar, I soon learned that of all the potential products that provide sweetness, the sugar alcohol erythritol is the best. Why? Because it has 0 calories and has the same "mass" properties that sucrose provides and thus can be substituted in a recipe 1 to 1. A fine, grainy white that looks very much like commercial sugar, erythritol I have found to be the best substitute for sugar in general.It is not inexpensive, however. The promedian price for a lb. is about $10.00 (comparing 5 brands of 1 lb each). So[...]price of $5.66 per lb. is a bargain. It is also a very fine product that I use regularly for recipes, on my cereal, or in a smoothy, or for any other instance where sugar is required. I have tried them all-erythritol works the best.I made a sugar and gluten free chocolate cake with erythritol, chestnut flour and Valrhona cocoa that came out great!
