40 gallon Breeder Versa Aquarium Top, 36" x 18" Clear

I want to start by addressing the negative reviews. This lid does fit the Aqueon 40 Breeder tank perfectly. I was initially swayed by those reviews and wasted both money and time purchasing acrylic pieces from Lowe’s, which ended up looking like crap. Frustrated, I decided to give this lid a try, and I couldn’t be happier. The dimensions are 35x15 inches, and with the included plastic extension, it fits the 40-gallon breeder tank like a glove. Don’t let the negative reviews deter you. This lid is the correct size.

Perfect for my 40 gallon breeder tank. Its low profile and is sturdy. Its all glass except the hinge, the handle and the area for the filter. I did have a little difficulty cutting it to fit but probably due to my choice of cutting tool. Scissors are not the best option!

After waiting a week for delivery, it arrived with a broken handle inside factory packaging. Now there's no more in stock. Even if there was, starting the return is not worth all the hassle of driving to UPS, then waiting for refund, just to reorder and have to wait another week for shipping again.

So I purchased this as a lid for my 30 gallon. It does not fit. It’s too big. I believe it would fit a 40 gallon. But on that note, if you’re putting this on a 30 gallon please don’t purchase it. Completely my fault because I didn’t check the measurements before purchasing. But this lid is good quality! Well-made. And arrived without damage. So all in all is a great product. Just human air on my part.

The media could not be loaded.  Width is perfect but length is a bit to long will be cutting to fit. Other than that perfect lid.

This came VERY well wrapped in a big box. No room for breakage, thank you. The hinges all work well, glass is clear, recommend this top.

Fit my 40gal tank perfectly

Despite the description for this product stating that it is 36 inches and that the length of the Aqueon 40 gallon breeder tank is 36 inches this product does not fit. I’m not sure if I received a faulty product or if it is a cruel joke by Aqueon to not make any lid which fits their 40 gallon breeder tank but the lid I received is too short to sit on top and falls into the tank. If Aqueon made a lid that fits their 40 gal breeder tank I would be interested but this product is not it.
