Alfred's Basic Piano Library Theory, Bk 3 (Alfred's Basic Piano Library, Bk 3)

I've used the Alfred's Basic Piano Course to teach my students piano for years. It guides me through teaching the music theory my students need and also progresses through the various levels at a rate that's quick enough to keep my students from getting too bored! I also use their Piano Solo books for recital pieces, etc. Excellent and challenging series for piano students of all levels- from 1A up. When you get into books 4,5, and 6, the pieces have some decent substance and provide plenty of challenge. Alfred's Basic Piano Library Theory, Bk 3

Although I'm an adult student, my teacher recommended this as a supplement to other music books I'm learning from. The book is kid-oriented but still useful. I take piano from a college professor at the college where I work and he likes the book.

This our third set of these books for my children. Great price and the only ones our piano teacher uses. My children have progressed fairly quickly and these books are easy to use and understand.

Fantastic theory book. Easy to fly through, yet teaches you so much! Alfred's is my recommendation! From level 1 to level 3 within a year.

It came dirty, like black powder dust or something, and it was a little bent on the pages, I cleaned it, but it was kind of disappointing...It came in a package with other books and the other books were perfectly fine, it was just this one.

Our piano teacher uses these with our kids. I sometimes find them a little cheaper on Amazon, and it saves me a trip to the music store. I have 3 kids in various levels currently.

It was old secondhand books and very bad condition.

I would’ve been fine with the old version, but the questions are different than the new version, and for the price I paid and the misleading description/photo, it should have been unused and the newer version. See attached photos. The exercises are in black and white (newer version is coloured) and it has been used. I can’t use this to teach my students virtually because the books are not the same.
