Nice
It's designed for Streacom cases, but it'll work with any case if you get creative with mounting. I put mine just behind the front grill of my Coolermaster case. I even managed to use an existing screw hole to mount it. It works great, it's pretty much the normal USB flirc receiver but with the ability to power your PC from a complete shutdown (S5).I'm using mine with Windows Media Center and needed something that can wake from S5. Inteset makes a similar board, but I've had issues with Inteset boards in the past (laggy, missing some commands, dropping out when waking from sleep), and wanted to try something different. Setup is a little more complex, but not terrible. It emulates a keyboard, so you need to know the keyboard shortcuts for the functions you want to map to your remote keys. The flirc utility makes button mapping pretty easy. The flirc is way more responsive than the Inteset CIR board it replaced, it never misses a command even when not pointing the remote directly at it and it hasn't disappeared when waking up, so I'm happy!
