Winning the battle with "dust mites!". . .
When I self-diagnosed dust mites as a problem in my mobile home, I panicked. I read everything available on how to combat them, and using an anti-allergenic carpet shampoo is one of them. In my readings, carpets seem to be the main problem in the harboring of these ugly little critters. So, first I applied an anti-allergenic carpet powder and vacuumed my carpets thoroughly. I also washed every piece of my bedding including my blankets in extremely hot water. I also purchased a quantity of benzyl benzoate and washed down all of my furniture with it. I also put a small portion of that solution in the washing with my bedding. I also purchased a quantity of a liquid, pro-biotic surface cleaner, mixed it with water in a mister, and spray it generously throughout my home, especially in the bedroom. It seems the skin that we shed by the pounds over time is the main delicacy for dust mites. And our beds are the locations where most skin is shed, evidently. I might also add that I now put my mattress and pillows in anti-allergenic cases, through which dust mites cannot migrate. The final step was shampooing my carpets with All Rug Anti Allergen Carpet Shampoo. It is an excellent carpet cleaner as well as an anti-allergen, I might add. Back to the beginning. The indications that I had a dust mite problem manifested itself with several symptoms. I had been severely congested and sneezing for several months, and I had never had any form of an allergy in the past. But what triggered the dust mite investigation was when rashes appeared at the hairline at the back of my neck and just below my neckline. I had never been bothered by these symptoms in the past. The internet provided me with the answer - dust mites. I live in Seattle, and we have just experienced the hottest, driest summer on record, and I believe this had something to do with the dust mite problem. To combat my "rash" problem, with cotton balls, I began applying 91% alcohol to the rash, and it was 100% effective. But it must be done as often as the rash recurs, because it takes time to rid your house of the little devils, and the rash will reappear until they are gone. Be persistent. I also wash my skin with a product that contains benzyl alcohol. I also use it as a "kind-of" skin cream during the day to fend off dust mites. What have been the results of all this?I no longer sneeze or have a congestion problem. Over 99% of the rash problem has been relieved. But it takes time to rid one's house of the mites, so I am not discouraged. Although the majority of dust mites are concentrated in your bedroom and your carpets, they may be in your clothing and other places as well. And because we continuously shed or skin throughout our lives, a modicum of dust mites will always be present in our homes. In summary, although shampooing my carpets with All Rug Anti Allergen Carpet Shampoo was my last step in combating dust mites, it was one of the most important. Again, my dust mite problem seems to under control.

would use this again, it works
ok, so the house I bought had both a fluffy cat and large dog. there was hair all over to the point you could roll it up off the carpet. I have asthma and bad allergies. I wore a protective mask while cleaning (to keep out the airborne mites and dander as I clean up the loose stuff) I first swept all hard surfaces, then vacuumed all the carpets. then I put this in my carpet shampoo cleaner. I own a Hover spinscrub. so I know it says to only use their products, but I put this in the dispenser for cleaner and mixed in the water! I slowly went room to room putting it down, then sucking it back up after I had a large area covered. I started the cleaning right after we closed on the house, and the rest of the family went to get the truck loaded to come over. by the time they got here I had a lot done and they did all say the rooms smelled like chemicals... but by the second load the carpets were bone dry and they did not notice the smell unless they really got down there to sniff it. the second day of moving in (this house was not well cleaned by the last owners and really a dusty dirty mess, an allergy sufferers nightmare really...) so did not sleep in the new house till the second night, none of us had any problems with sniffing, sneezing or itchy eyes. and before we cleaned the carpets we all got sick each time we went to look at the house. so I will keep this product on hand for dust mite cleaning too.... I felt it worked good, there is a strong smell but that goes away along with the allergen its rids. it did not clean the carpets to a clean look tho.... the following week I did go around and spot treat spots, and clean with regular carpet shampoo. but that is ok for me, as it was more important to rid the allergens. hope it works for you too.

Cleans But Strong odor
I bought this for my Bissell Pet Jet wanting something to help with my Dust Mite Allergy and was disappointed. The odor is strong and it leaves a strong odor even a week afterwards. It doesn't leave a fresh clean smell as I had hoped with this being for Allergies. We started out with using the amount that it calls for only to find out it was way too soapy so that was a neagative against it. I will not be buying it again. I liked the Bissell Pet Clean much better. It has a fragrance but it doesn't last long and makes the room smell cleaner.

First time use of carpet shampoo that doesn't come w/your vacuum
I bought this product years ago, and wanted to try to believe in the name Allersearch as a guarantee. Although, I never used it before, I tried it, and was surprised that the blue chemical w/hot water turned into a dark brown/black ish water color. I didnt know how dirty and filthy my living room, and master bedroom carpet was. I decided to carpet clean every 6 months although moving the furniture was so hard and tiredsome, lol. I bought a Bissell carpet cleaning machine that came with Bissell carpet shampoo and floor care cleaning samples. Cleaning is one thing but I am into disinfecting, and reducing allergens as much as possible especially when one has children and/or pets, and very importantly your children were born with ashmatic symptoms. I have to clean, wash, dust, disinfect, detail as much as possible inside my home more than an average little clean daily or weekly. After using this product, I have now become more aware than regularly daily light cleaning. I also bought more products that has helped reduce dust, and allergens such as Sharper Image Quadra, Allergy Mattress Covers, filters for ceiling fan blades, and changing filters for vacuums, etc. Everyone should try to make your home as healthy as possible similiar to the hospital atmosphere, lol. I recommend this product to be a 4-5 star product. Now, I have to buy some more, and yes it is worth the price to me. I hope you like this product as much as I do.

Good At Removing Odors And As An Anti Allergen
One star for removing stains. I mean it. One Star. For the vomit and urine stains it did not remove, it at least eliminated the odor.Next time I shampoo my carpet, I am going to mix a stain removing shampoo in with this product.Did the manufacturer even test this on stains? Wish I could rate it two and a half stars.

Cleaned carpets and furniture quite well without a harsh "chemical" smell left behind. Nothing is 100% effective but it sure helps make a difference!
