good for keeping my batteries charged
I bought several of these a couple years ago, through time I've needed to replace them, so I'd say the average lifecycle is about 2 years each. I use them on my ATV's, Motorcycles and camper battery to keep charged through the winter and they work perfectly. A couple items to note are:1. Having the alligator clip connected all the time to my camper battery caused it to corrode enough that the alligator clip was unusable after about 3 years.2. These do not connect to your typical tender connection whip that you might get from an auto store. You must use the ones that come with the panel.3. Besides the typical wear and tear these things keep my batteries charged and my toys ready for use, good value for the money. As mentioned I've bought these twice and didn't think twice.

Melted in Texas heat.
It worked well for tendering the battery. Now I live in Texas, and we have extreme summers. I had it mounted inside the car, and it completely melted the plastic around the panel. It actually melted to the point that it no longer works. I’m a little disappointed, I felt as tho something designed to sit in the sun should handle this type of heat.

Seem to work just fine, except for indicator light
This is my second one like the size and the low charge rate I use these strictly for maintance. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because both units have a light (led) that does not work. I've checked and both are working, just the indicator light is INOP

Nice idea for use on your car or an RV
I have a car that sits a lot beacuse I am disabled an dont get out much and am tired with dealing with a dead battery. So I tried this and it seems to do the job! All I do is plug it into my Accessory jack of the car attach it to the car window, and leave and forget, and so far no more dead batteries. Keep in mind it does not charge the same on cloudy or overcast days, but since I live in Calif, its mostly sunny. So far so good ! Ty

Worked for a month/ replaced right away
This product worked very well the first two weeks I had it. I used it on my boat battery and it kept it charged. However a month later the charge light wouldn’t come on anymore. I checked with my multimeter and the charger wasn’t working anymore. I’m not sure if I just got a bad one, however one month of it working isn’t except able. I haven’t contacted the company yet, so I’m waiting to see what there customer services is like. I’ll keep you all posted. *****update**** The company and Amazon reached out to me right after this review and helped me replace the product. Both Amazon and the company were very helpful because I was confused from their first directions. But after several trying to explain it to me they just sent me a new one. I recommend this product.

Great product, poor support
This worked really well to keep up the charge on my Prius car battery. They are a lighter-duty car battery, but prone to draining when not used, so this worked to keep the battery charged when parked for a few days. It even withstood persistent Seattle area rain on the roof of the car - just making sure to keep the connectors out of the rain by leaving the hood ajar. Please rest assured that I am slow to penalize for broken English. I have seen MANY such owner manuals with spelling and grammar errors - no big deal. The manual for this device was absolutely terrible - almost useless. When I used the contact information provided to clearly ask for clarification on how the power light works, the responder answered a different question (barely), and not the one I asked. So don't buy from these people unless you already have some basic electrical experience.A few things absent or unreadable from the manual that I had to figure out for myself: - Connecting the red clamp to the positive battery terminal, and the black clamp to a ground on the vehicle (like a bolt attached to the auto body), is safer than attaching the black clamp to the negative terminal. Most car manufacturers will recommend this, including for my older Prius. - The light on mine turns orange when it's getting enough sunlight to produce a charge. Connect it to a battery needing a charge and it turns green. If the battery is full and the sun is still out, it turns orange again to prevent an overcharge. That light goes dark when the sun goes down.

Cheap price good part
This solar panel claims that it is a maintainer but in actuality it will charge your battery if you come t the leads to the battery it self, leave it be and disconnect the battery cables from the vehicle. I’ve used this thing countless times on batteries I have around my house. And it charges them just fine. I also have one of these in my old Plymouth which I don’t use often and it will fire right up because this battery maintainer is just that darn good.
