We bought this for our daughter (high school aged) in late October as a Christmas gift (trying to get a jump on holiday shopping). She just tried to use it for the first time, plugged it in and the power light went on, stayed on for about a minute then it went off. Power supply is ok, my suspicion is that the unit is just faulty. It is totally dead now and no lights come on, it doesn't heat up or operate. However, since the instructions says that it only has a 30 day limited warranty my suspicion is that we are screwed. I am going to try to call 3M, but not expecting much. Buyer Beware . . . either don't purchase or open up box right away and make sure it works. Totally disappointed. FOLLOW-UP #1 - I contacted 3M customer service and they stated that they will provide warranty for 1 year from the date of purchase (even though the instructions say only 30 days). Therefore, they will replace with a sales receipt and photos of the top and bottom of the unit. According to the rep, the model is very susceptible to bumps (that might have occurred in shipment). Based on their willingness to extend out the warranty, I have raised my rating from 1 star to 2. Unit shouldn't be that fragile though.

Even though this laminar was highly rated in several reviews, especially the "no jams" feature, you still have to be very, very careful when loading an 8 1/2" letter sized laminate pocket or it WILL get stuck! The outlet slot should be redesigned by 2" to prevent this from happening.

Purchased in March; burned up after a jam in mid-July. This laminator was used several times weekly by a small office staff. It had the occasional jam, but usually was easy to fix with the release lever. This last jam, though, couldn't be un-stuck by a receptionist and it got so hot that she actually took the whole thing outside for fear that it was about to catch fire. You can see singe marks on the plastic and the sheet that was inside is clearly burned. We're replacing it with another brand and model that's gotten rave reviews at a lower price.

I always wanted one of these. Wish I had gotten one before. Works exactly the way it should. I recommend using 5 mil sleeves,instead of 3 mils. Much better results. I love this product. 5 Stars!

I’m a teacher and I love this laminator. Really easy to use and stores nicely. It was an added bonus to have a variety of sizes of pouches.

So easy to use. Handy tool to have available. With all the sizes of packets included it covers almost anything that might need to be laminated. I shopped around and this was the best deal.

Bought for my daughter. Best gift I ever got her! She uses it nonstop. Mo problems with it.

The product laminates well, but the feeder tray is a bit off from the entry point making it necessary to manually adjust inserting each time.
