Novak - Thank you for the book!
Eating gluten free helped me go off thyroid medication. I was taking medication for 4 years and always felt very tired and my mind was in a fog. After starting gluten free diet I feel very good and my spirit is a lot stronger. Book by Novak helped me develop a good diet and lose weight. I am very, very thankful to him for writing this book, sharing his experience and being so open. I completely believe him because I now know what gluten sensitivity can do to a body. I also liked the structure of his diet - not too much protein and healthy amounts of carbs. I feel my body does better this way too - with carb lunch.

inspiring and entertaining
This is a brilliant book. Very interesting subject, beautifully written with many entertaining background stories. I have tried his advice and am fascinated with results. I feel better than ever, although I have never suffered from any allergies. It just makes so much sense. Everybody would profit from reading it. I have already told all my friends and family about this book and will be buying it to them as birthday presents...

Great Read
One of the best diet and exercise books I have ever read. I play tennis and golf regularly and found this book inspiring and insightful. Since reading, I have had food tolerance testing and think this book will completely change my approach to eating.

The devil is in the details.
‘Serve to Win’ is about struggles rooted in traditions, sharing knowledge, taking the best of the sciences and experiences, about your well-being, the need for balance to feel and live a good life. It isn’t predominantly about professional sports, but it surely helps along the way to achieve the highest levels of success. It throws down the gauntlet at 1) overweight, exposes the myriad of health issues, physical and mentally, triggered by excessive weight the big sizes are trying to fashion as normal. 2) the out of control food industry imposing a vastness of toxic foods. This book should be part of high school education.

Changed my Life
I bought it for the diet tips but soon learned it had much more to offer. I gained a knew respect for Djokovi not just because he is a great tennis player, but because he literally made his dreams come true. This was very inspiring.

Great story, not great science
As a personal memoir, this book is well written and really interesting. I was disappointed to find that the nutritional ideas were not based on empirical science. The nutritional ideas are based in alternative therapies based on pseudoscience - including the arm test from applied kinesiology, and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Djokovic is of course entitled to share his own very successful experience with these approaches, but the reader should take them with a bit of scepticism. The ELISA antibody test results mentioned sounded questionable to me, because they would be associated with a dangerous egg allergy, and reminded me of reports I have read in Michael Mosley's Clever Guts book of some dubious companies producing inconsistent results for supposed antibody tests by mail for nutritional intolerance. To the readers interested in weight loss, I think it would be better value for money to read books from qualified medical doctors such as Xand Van Tulleken or Michael Mosley. But to anyone looking for a fascinating autobiography telling the true story of a phenomenal athlete, this will be a gripping, inspiring, moving and very enjoyable read.

Serving Up Gems
Very easy read, Novak keeps his story simple yet full of knowledge on his childhood , his discovery and immediate love of tennis through to entrance onto the world stage and breaking through to the big times. The sections on how he changed his diet which propelled him into being one of the fittest athletes reveals how sacrifices and determination can pay off. A very interesting balanced read.

Eye opener, highly recommend
The nutrition side of it was amazing . It made me think of my own diet. Managed to remove certain things that made me bloated and I feel better. I actually sent samples to get myself tested. Didn’t realise I had small allergies. If it would have not been for this book don’t think I would have gone that far with checking myself . I loved the resilience examples, definitely got some points there to help me deal with my day to day situations. Highly recommend it .

quietly inspiring
I bought this book because Novak Djokovic has a story to tell. His personal biography, coming from a background of adversity to being NO. 1 in the world of tennis is quite some achievement. But for me personally I was more interested in the process through the change in diet and exercise. Looking to incorporate gluten free into a vegetarian diet is not easy and I was in need of inspiration and although Novak isn't vegetarian, I was interested to know how he structured his daily food intake for health and stamina and fitness, without gluten. I found that this book has filled lots of gaps in my understanding of what it means to be gluten free. To put together good healthy alternative ways of eating. This is so usable. A feeding of the soul as well as body and mind. Thank you Novak and congratulations on being 2014 champion. I realise you probably won't get that message but thought I would add it in anyway. Now all I have to do is embrace gluten free eating - INSPIRING - Thank You

Food Intolerance - A Must Read
Not a fad diet follower but a lot of what Novak Djokovic says makes a lot of sense. Really worth a read if you have food intolerances, or think you have. It’s changed the way I think about food.
