Fantastic cat toy, surprisingly durable
I bought this for an extremely energetic kitten. She has a large house with tons of toys to play with, but she was still getting bored anyway and started treating our things like her toys, plus shoving things off of counters and tables (sometimes damaging and breaking them). So I went to Amazon to look for an automatic toy that would keep her entertained. And boy, did I find one that does the trick.Kitten is enraptured by this thing until the moment it turns off. It often catches the attention of our other cats too, but it’s clear who it belongs to. The kitten is kinda rough on it - she grabs the fuzzy little tail and does her best to rip it out of the box, but hasn’t succeeded, which speaks to the toy’s durability. It came with batteries and was crazy easy to put together; I had it ready for her within a minute of opening the box.I’m super impressed with this simple yet highly desirable cat toy, especially for the price!

Good toy, bad cat
I’ve bought a lot of cat toys... despite my cat always choosing the cardboard box it was shipped in. I’ve got a single girl who doesn’t know how to play nice with other pets.. and just doesn’t know how to play overall. I keep trying to find something to entertain her without me having to interact, and a lot of these electronic toys seem to be a miss with her.My cat, like many cats, seems to like this whole “reach into tiny holes” thing and I figured this would do the trick.... it didn’t. The price point is about right and the product itself is of decent quality. It’s hard to find the on/off button but the toy itself is nearly silent which is kind of nice. If you put the little ball inside, it will make noise from the ball being knocked around and the bell jingling inside it. My little girl just can’t play... doesn’t matter what I buy her. She’ll ball up like a turkey nearby and just stare at it while it knocks the ball around... but the interaction isn’t much. I don’t blame the toy for that and anyone who does, just doesn’t understand cats. There’s probably days where she’ll go hard on it and play for a good 10 minutes... but it just depends on how she’s feeling and I need to learn how to deal with that so I don’t keep on buying more and more electronic toys which she will never go cat crazy over. It’s a good toy if your cat knows how to play. The hard to find button is a bit annoying personally, but otherwise it’s a good deal and you just need to understand that some cats will be like my girl, some will play with it occasionally and some will go nuts over it the majority of time. They’re cats!

This toy is a hit!
PROS: Both of my cats were fascinated by this toy immediately! The female cat has been monopolizing it (she chases the male away from it) and she still loves it, but when my male cat hears the soft beating of the fuzzy tail inside the plastic hexagon box, he runs over to watch. Trust me, that's saying a lot for my lazy boy, because usually only catnip stirs him. It's a good sized toy, but light weight, so my female cat has been able to pick it up with her paws and flip it over several times to try to get that fuzzy tail out. Unlike a couple other similar toys I wasted money on, this one has a strong enough motor and enough variance in its rotating patterns that it keeps going after my cat thinks she's caught the moving tail.CONS: The short play time is one the downsides of this toy and why I only gave it 4 stars. It shuts itself off much too soon. My female cat needs and wants more than 15 minutes of play time. There is no option to leave the toy running, to leave it running longer than 15 minutes, or to have it automatically turn itself back on after a short rest period. I understand the battery-saving concept, but rechargeable batteries do exist and this toy is very quiet, so it doesn't bother me when I'm working from home.Unfortunately, the on/off button is flush against one of the hexagon sides, instead of sticking out visibly on top for the pets to push it to turn it back on (yes, my female cat is clever enough to learn that trick). My cat loves this toy so much that she's run over to me several times each day to get me to turn it back on for her.If you don't mind the short play time or prefer your pet's electronic toys have a short play time, then I highly recommend this toy!

Success!! My cat enjoys it!
My cat (pictured) is only 3 years old. She loves this toy, although, sometimes, she's weird about it. She'll play with it one minute, then walks away, then returns to play with it once again. Other times, she'll walk away, stalk it, and attack it. It just depends on her mood, I guess. I like sprinkling her cat treats inside of the toy to watch her walk around it eating the treats that come flying out.I would also like to mention that the first toy I purchased was defective, as it didn't continue spinning. What I mean is, the on/off switch had to be held down for the toy to spin. I did, however, receive wonderful customer service from Amazon when I explained the problem to them. They sent me a replacement right away. Thankfully, this new toy has been working just fine, so now she's back at it! 🐈🐱

This was a HIT!!!
I got this for my 4 year old furbaby....and she LOVES it! She can't seem to leave it alone....even falls asleep by it, just waiting for someone to turn it back on i guess!!! I have had it 3 weeks and today was the first time i have had to replace the batteries....after MANY hours of play!! She has been obsessed with getting the ball out as well and last night, she was batting it around! I watched and when she got tired of playing with that, i quickly put it back in the toy. I see why it is rated so high....i will be getting my grandfurbabies one for Christmas!!
