18k plated, not. However I did like the size, the style and design of this necklace. I purchased as a gift. It came in a velvet-like pouch which I appreciate. It was wrapped well with plastic, inside the pouch to avoid tarnishing. It will indefinitely tarnish after a few wears. This is a good fashion piece of jewelry. Nothing fancy. Great for a 13 yr old niece!
