Bad breath can keep you and your dog from the closeness you've always enjoyed. Now you can help keep your canine friend's breath fresh with Milk-Bone Brushing Chews Daily Dental Treats. These chews feature unique nubs and ridges that are designed to clean like bristles on a toothbrush*, helping control tartar and plaque buildup through scrubbing action. Made with no artificial flavors and sealed for freshness, these chews have an irresistible taste your dog will love. They are fortified with 12 essential vitamins and minerals--including calcium to help support strong bones and teeth--and have no artificial flavors. *When fed daily Milk-Bone Brushing Chews are as effective as brushing a dog's teeth twice a week based on the reduction of tartar build-up. The Veterinary Oral Health Council recommends daily tooth brushing for optimal effectiveness.

My dogs love these chews
My little mutts love these. They get one every day and their teeth look great. I prefer denta-stix but the price is a bit high right now.

cheat treat
I would NOT buy these again so cheat or not. I would get these in the pet store at a much higher price BUT THEY ARE FOR REAL and HARD. These are a cheap soft version which I guess for breeds that do not have Dental issues are a great treat and may even help their dental health I don't know. The smell of these are FAKE BACON which says no artificial flavors? At first my Chi would not eat for two days she knows I will not give her anything else for a long time before I give her something she likes. I wait a week before I take a new item up for good, by then I know she will never eat it. I think it was the smell that got to her not the flavor. I try to brush her teeth every two days as it is so hard to get a Chihuahua's mouth open. On the second day she ate one of these treats in the morning and I went to brush her teeth that night, I was shocked to see a rust color like these treats on her teeth still after all day of drinking water. I was so upset I called Milk Bone in the morning, at first I was told they must have been exposed to extreme heat, I then I ask why were they like a cheat dough cutout with a edge still on. They kept asking me over and over about what the count was and the bar code was. it sounds like count should have been 65 not 68? After about an hour of putting me on holding checking going over it several times, it turns out they do not sell the hard ones on the secondary market and, I would have to buy at a pet store. I then excepted a coupon. I have to say they must stand behind their product, because from the start they wanted to send a coupon, and I would tell them I did not call for a coupon. That they were so cheap 68 for $6.00 2 bags total 136 for $12.00 how cheap can you get. I want to know if and how to get the good hard ones and if you could still get them. I will let you know when and if I find the Hard ones in the store. Also I did read a review before I ordered these that people did like the new packaging of these and not in the box? Before I always got these in a box, I will also let you know if I find only in box or bag and the price. I know I must sound like a nut BUT it cost about $500.00 and up to have teeth cleaned, and maybe have to have some teeth pulled. Not counting your little baby may DIE from being put under???? I am 70 years old and never heard of such a thing or ever had a Vet tell me to brush my dogs teeth. Always Had Big dogs from raising Great Danes on down. BUT this is my first Chihuahua she and her same age best friend the cat are the LOVE'S OF MY LIFE. Should I out live them I would never get another Chihuahua. The cost for their care is just to much if you don't have the money which I really don't. Any one reading this PLEASE just pass info to all the people you know, just so maybe people will tell others about it and no one will ever be like me and get a dog, they may love the breed BUT can not afford. THANKS

Does the job
Having a small breed dog, I'm always worried about keeping his teeth clean, and I don't always brush his teeth as often as I should. I've used other brands of chews before that I liked fine, but the price was too high to use daily as recommended. These are cheap enough I'll sometimes even give him 2 in a day. He eats them easily, getting excited when I pull the bag out. The scent is decent, and they seem to slow down plaque build up. I also haven't noticed any tummy troubles. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that they don't seem to work QUITE as well as other brands he's had, his breath is still a bit strong and he does still get plaque build up.
