Pharmacological action: Hondroksid® normalizes metabolism in hyaline tissue, stimulates regeneration (recovery) processes in the articular cartilage, has analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect, slows the progression of osteoarthritis and degenerative disc disease. Hondroksid® contains natural ingredient chondroitin sulfate (a high mucopolysaccharide), obtained from the tissues of cattle. Chondroitin sulfate improves calcium and phosphorus metabolism in the cartilage accelerates its repair, hinders the process of degeneration (destruction) of the cartilage; prevent collapse of the connective tissue; inhibits enzymes that cause cartilage damage, stimulates the synthesis of glycosaminoglycans, regeneration (recovery) of the joint capsule and cartilage surfaces of the joints, increases the production of synovial fluid. This leads to a decrease in pain and an increase in mobility of the affected joints. Dimethylsulfoxide, which is part of an ointment, promotes better penetration of chondroitin sulfate cell membranes deep tissues has some anti-inflammatory, analgesic and fibrinolytic action. Hondroksid has a combined effect of: - Slows the progression of osteoarthritis and degenerative disc disease; - Has an analgesic effect; - Has anti-inflammatory effects; -stimuliruet restoration of articular cartilage; - Improves joint mobility; - Reduces the swelling of the joints. Indications Treatment and prevention of osteoarthritis of the peripheral joints and spinal osteochondrosis. Contraindications - Damage to the skin in the area of application of the drug (for gel); - Hypersensitivity to the drug. Precautions: pregnancy, lactation, children (efficacy and safety have not been established). Dosing and Administration The ointment should be applied 2-3 times a day to the skin over the lesion. Ointment rubbed until completely absorbed within 2-3 minutes. Treatment ointment is 2-3 weeks. If necessary - repeat the treatment.
