Review "Beautifully written and deeply imagined.  .  .Stacy Robinson has created an utterly compelling story of one woman's traumatic fall and of her ultimate and triumphant resurrection. Her writing is at times luminous and always thoughtful." --Holly Chamberlin, author of The Beach Quilt "I can't remember the last time I devoured a book so eagerly. From the first page, readers will want to dig deeper and deeper beneath the Surface to discover the secrets of the Montgomery family. Magnificent!" --Elin Hilderbrand, New York Times bestselling author of The Matchmaker and Winter Street“Robinson’s characters address the tough, flawed choices that we make every day and the often unanticipated consequences. Betrayal, self-discovery and forgiveness combine in this insightful, twisting tale.”--RT Book Reviews, 4 Stars“Robinson deftly manages to make readers sympathetic with the struggles of the incredibly privileged.” --Publishers Weekly Read more About the Author Stacy Robinson is a novelist and a former marketing and PR professional and teacher. Good Read for Anyone Facing Changes
This was a surprisingly good book, despite a plot-line that easily could have become melodramatic and cliche. Without giving anything away, the book's focus on the protagonist's internal struggle to let go of the past and welcome change is what makes the book successful and better than others of its genre. The emotional struggle resonates and felt like an accurate portrayal of what can be a sometimes Herculean task of letting go . . . . I found the struggle helpful and insightful on a personal level because of different changes in my own life. The only thing I didn't like about the book was all the "society" nonsense and what I found to be overly-flowery descriptions of clothing or opulent settings. These descriptions were not necessary and distracting, because the book is best when in concerns human experiences that are very universal - letting go of the past, redefining your goals, struggling with guilt and the right to happiness, in the context of the many uncertainties that life can throw at us.

Terrific novel by Stacy Robinson
This was the first I have read by Ms Robinson and downloaded it after reading an article about the author in a Denver magazine. It did not disappoint. Great character development and attention to detail. Loved the accurate little snippets in and about Denver. I ended up taking my kindle everywhere til I was finished. I am hoping Ms Robinson is busy writing another book!

A great book for those who like their beach reads on the literary side
If you like your beach reads on the literary side, this one is for you! The perfect escape that will keep you turning the pages, but that will also make you think--about marriage, infidelity, friendship, parenting, and the decisions upon which our fates turn.

Great read!
I have lots of books on my bedside table, but a friend recommended this to me and it instantly earned a spot at the top. I was totally drawn in by the strong characters and the intriguing plot, and I loved the way the writer brought me into a completely different world and still made everything seem so familiar. Great read!

by a woman for women and about women
I did not care for this book. It was well written but clearly written by a woman for women and about women. I don't care the style. Also annoying are the constant references to a lifestyle few of us can imagine and quite frankly could care less about.
