Mighty Thor Vol. 1: Thunder in her Veins Paperback – 31 Jan. 2017

Very refreshing to see a great female superhero. The character of Jane Foster's Thor remains strong and consistent with that of the original hero whilst providing a sense of vulnerability not shared with her male counterpart. The political drama is exciting even if it is a bit generic (maybe I need more context as I'm new to reading marvel) but the villains and heroes never fail to excite. If the female Thor is as interesting in possible future films as this one I won't be disappointed. And there are enough twists and turns to keep you turning the pages. The commentary on the fact the gender of Thor has been changed within the story also provides a compelling narrative and shows that whilst some may disagree with her new appointment, she is definitely here to stay and she is not giving up that hammer without a fight; rather shrewdly holding up a mirror to some of he controversy to Marvel's more diverse renovation of their new lineup. Overall, it is an intelligent, well drawn and well told story with interesting characters (even if some of the conflicts' turning points seem a awkward). Can't wait for the next book.

I enjoyed reading this book, the first one of lady thor. Won't give a higher score because I think it could be better.

Beautiful art, and a real good story with fun characters. I really enjoyed reading it, it'd my fav comic so far. Can't wait to see more :)

I had forgotten the joys of graphic novels.This is a compulsive read and is something I found extremely hard to put down.

I need more! I need to see how people react to finding out who she is behind the mask! Thor has quickly stepped up as one of my all time favourite comic book characters with her first foray into comics, this does nothing but cement that fondness.

Best story of the new lady Thor series so far. Great art too. A cracking read all round.

Nesse primeiro volume, retornamos as aventuras da Thor após as guerras secretas. E como o esperado, ela terá de enfrentar a revolta de Odin pois a considera uma ladra do Mjölnir. Além disso Malekith continua a arquitetar sua guerra dos reinos angariando mais aliados, inclusive uma grande corporação da terra.A narrativa é excelente, Jason Aaron desenvolve uma trama com entretenimento e profundidade. E soma-se a isso, o trabalho brilhante artístico de Russel Dautermann.

Great book!

I haven't read a western comic in about 25 years, when I was a kid, and I have to say this one is really good. Mind you I picked it up after stumbling onto the designs for the elf wedding between Malekith and Aelsa and had to see what was going on. Everything is colorful, well written, interesting, and you can't argue with a strong breeze though long hair.I have already picked up volume 2 and plan on getting them monthly to spread out the goodness.The ONLY con is that once you see Malekith in this series, his appearance in Dark World gets more disappointing. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The first of 5 books you might want to read before watching the next Thor movie (love and thunder).A piece of marvel history you might want in your collection.The package was well done but couriers don't give half a crap and they bend twist and squish everything.
