Hairball Relief--How to Dose It
Look it can be messy--but the relief it gives it worth the effort.1) Make sure it's room temp. This stuff is very stable so you can keep it handy wherever you plan to do the dosing. Open the cap and give it a gentle squeeze so it will be ready to go. Keeping the cap off, set it on your table ready to go.I'm disabled and cannot stand very long. Also am old and my strength is not what it used to be. This being said either entice your kitty up on the bed with a favorite treat or pick them up and put them there. Spend a few minutes petting. Do some deep breathing to make yourself calm as possible.Next, if kitty is mellow and calm, scoop them and hold them tucked under between your arm and chest, if you're right-handed you'll tuck the kitty under your left arm and chest. Use your lower arm to contain them back into your holding arm with your left hand around their chest. I lean on them keeping them in this "arm tube".With your free right hand pick up the tube and hard squeeze at least a 1 inch strip into your kitty's left front leg using your right index and middle fingers to smoosh it into their fur. Repeat on the other leg. (Granted all of this is a bit much, but if your kitty doesn't want to lick it off of your fingers then getting this down them is more important.) Keep hold of then if you can praising them. Let them go--they usually spring off the bed, run a few steps and immediately start licking their legs to get rid of the stuff thereby ingesting the hairball relief. Once it's been ingested if tales about a minimum of 6-8 hours for it to work.***Now if your kitty is not amenable to happily being picked up, I use the the scuff method which is once I lure them onto to bed I make a strategic grab to secure their scruff tightly, and stuff them under my arm just the same as the mellow method. Follow the same steps as noted above.P.S. 1) I use the corner of my bed with my chair (kitchen chair preferred as it doesn't have any arms to get in the way) and a small table (here I use my walker as it is an ideal height.2) I strongly advise practicing this (a dry run) several times without your kitty before you attempt it.Good luck!

No fishy odor or taste
It was difficult finding a Hairball Remedy that doesn't taste or smell like fish, nor spoil or harden before the tube is done. Sentry Hairball. Remedy is the perfect product, especially for finicky, non-salmon eatting felines! The consistency is thick enough not to ooz out of the tube, yet thin enough to blend into food. No offensive odor whatsoever, and the best part is, it does not taste like fish. Thanks to Sentry, our loveable furperson no longer turns into a menacing terror due to hairball remedies.

Helps my long haired cat
Cat likes the taste he eats it out of his bowl and it helps with hairballs. I think hairball stuff is overpriced right along with many other things.

Great for preventing hairballs.
Works well for my long haired cat. She even asks for it every morning. No hairballs any more! Wish I could get my other cat to eat it but she’s just too fussy. Won’t even lick it off her paws as recommended. Oh well.

CAT LOVES IT + IT WORKS = HAPPY CAT = HAPPY PARENTS
The media could not be loaded. Gracie loves this stuff SO much, she actually considers it a “treat!” For the past 10 years she’s been getting a 1” ribbon of the Malt flavor almost every day. The best you can buy for long-haired cats prone to furballs / constipation. We couldn’t stand to hear her in pain — yowling loudly before throwing-up furballs, wailing in the night when it was too painful (constipation) to use the litter box. I’d cry, wishing there was something we could do to help ease our little girl’s pain. So we went to the vet, and he specifically recommended Petromalt. That day changed our lives forever. Not only did Gracie find a new “treat” that day, but that treat has gone on to prevent and/or relieve 90-95% of the furballs/constipation Gracie had been experiencing on a regular basis.HOW TO FEED: In the beginning we tried the gel-on-paw method, and she’d get really mad at us (dirtying-up her paw with thick goo). So I put a little bit on the side of my finger and … it was love, she lapped it up!!! I later switched to using the bottom of a plastic 1/4 cup - it’s non-stick, easy to clean, and it allowed me to elongate the 1” ribbons [as seen in attached VIDEO]. After squeezing the 1” portion, I’d go back and make it longer/thinner so it’d be easier for her to eat (since it’s kinda thick). We tried many different brands over the years, just to try them, but newer was never any better. Gracie simply LOVES the taste of this stuff, and it’s the only brand that’s been RELIABLE in keeping furballs and/or constipation in-check. She loves it + it works = happy cat = happy pet parents :-)

Cats Meow
My cats refuse to eat any other hairball meds and I can only find the Malt flavor here. It always comes fast and is extremely reasonable priced

Works quickly, not stinky
I bought this for my old cat who was puking almost daily and had hair or hairballs in her vomit. She won't lick it voluntarily, I need to smudge it into her paw so she's forced to lick it off. It's not stinky or gross, so i can just squeeze it onto my finger them mush it on my cats paws. I use it for both cats and saw a fast relief of puking. The first week I gave it to my older cat probably three times in one week, and that healed her right up then I went to giving it to her just about once a week and the puking has almost completely stopped. I recommend this product. No odor, not greasy or oily. It does leave a little stain on my cat's paw because she's old and doesn't do the greatest job of cleaning herself now, but she's gaining weight already because she's not puking so much. oh, I think it's easier for my cat to have her bowel movements now as well. She used to struggle but seems to be doing okay now. Overall I'm going to keep this as a part of her healthcare regime. Good sized tube.
