SHORT MOVIE IN FOUR PARTS, CROCODILE, BIRD, WHALE AND ELEPHANT. DOESN'T TOUCH PN THE TITLE FOR MORE THAN MAYBE A SENTENCE--I FELT RIPPED OFF BCUZ IT WAS SHORT AND NOT VERY INFORMATIVE AND IT ALSO FOCUSSES ON ENVIRONMENTALISM AND SAVING THE PLANET. I AGREE WE SHOULD SAVE THE PLANET AND THESE SPECIES BUT THIS IS A MOVIE.

Yes, the content of this documentary is fascinating, but it’s also worth noting that the narration by Lee Pace was my primary motivation for buying it. That man could read a phone book or dictionary and I would be enthralled.

Thought this was a great documentary on evolution for a select variety of different animals. I also got to give points for actor Lee Pace narrating this film. Did not expect that at all! Only disappointment I had was that the documentary didn’t go further in depth at the evolutionary speculation of elephants at their earliest roots and see depictions of their smaller ancestors. All other animals were just fine in their portrayal of early ancestry. I would still recommend this to anyone who likes PBS documentaries and wants to explore the science of evolution. Give it a watch!

Crocodiles, Birds, Whales and Elephants have all changed repeatedly over their existence in deep time. This PBS DVD shows the discoveries and the research that uncovered the development of some of our most iconic animals. Fossil digs and mounted museum specimens are shown on site, taking the viewer into a world of science that shares much with CSI methods. Would make an interesting and effective introduction to Zoology or to Historical Geology for students from middle school through high school including AP classes. Top recommendation.

Provided an entertaining and deeply informative story about evolution, which should appeal to people of all ages.

I watched tis on discovery a few weeks ago evolution is just totally amazing, any body who doesn't believe in evolution needs to go to the discovery museum and see for them selves and also watch these amazing videos,

This documentary is very informative, easy to follow, and interesting. It deals not only with whale evolution but also that of crocodilians, elephants and birds. It is time well spent in front of the TV.

I thought it was going to be all about whales but it dealt with crocs and elephants and birds. All good but they should have chosen another title.

so sad unable to play due to some technical reason costly when you cant watch dvd. sorry to give this revue

my young nephews loved the DVD, would definately recommend it, don't forget it comes from the US so is a longer delivery.
