Hat arrived timely and in good shape, box was a bit beat but it was all kosher. Super nice quality comfy. I’m a 7 1/2 in most American hats so that translated to sixty cm.Which is a bit too big. Used a bit of hat tape to take like an inch or less off the band and it fits perfect no problem. So maybe measure your head instead of going by the tag.

I love this cap (wool, olive maciejowka with buckle) - amazing craftsmanship. However, I am returning and getting another due to the size being too large. Amazon US only provides US measurements, which comes out to 59cm (as stated on the cap when I received it). However, a 58 would be better and perhaps then even a little on the loose side. My usual trick is to put a long bit of foam behind the sweat band - but Here is the issue: The top of the sweatband is sewn right to the silk liner - so that there is NO way to tuck a pad between the sweatband and the liner to make it fit better. The size you get is what you will live with - so measure on the tight side.

Very well pleased with this hat. The first Sterkowski cap that I had bought I got in my normal sizing range of a 59cm. It turned out to fit closer to a 60. No worries though, a quick safety pin trick on the sweatband and all was right in the world. With this one I ordered a 58cm. Good fit now. A little loose, but with a leather sweatband there will be some shrinkage over time and it will be the perfect fit in a month or so. The expedited shipping was lightning fast.So far I have dug on all the caps I have purchased from Sterkowski. There are a few more that I want. It takes them a while to ship as they are making your hat once you order it, but they are well worth the wait time. Just a reminder for those American purchasers out there, be sure to measure your head, If you have any doubts on your sizing, contact them with your measurement and they will suggest the right size for you. Like shoes and boots, no one manufacturer has the same measurements as the other, so it pays to ask questions if you are in doubt.Again, I dig on this hat and I will order from Sterkowski again.

I am extremely picky about quality but this hat did meet my standards. It could only be nicer if the liner was a fancier material like purple satin but I would expect to pay more for that. As it happens I did make and insert my own fancy purple satin liner. I also replaced the decorative belt with a chain because I think that is what this cap truly calls for. I wanted a real, meant to be worn hat with a patent leather visor. I now greet my neighbors and postmen alike with confidence! That the hat is of high enough quality to withstand amendments to its design speaks to its quality construction and design. Great hat!
