The Complete Adventures of Blinky Bill Paperback – October 5, 2010

Amazing writing and such a beautiful story. It doesn't shy away from tough issues, in fact between the shooting of Mr Koala and the kidnapping of Blinky and his mother things can get pretty intense, but these things need to be discovered at some stage.

I purchased this book as a 'keepsake' book. It is not suitable for young children but great for adults to read at storytime.

I am always reading deep, non fiction, educational books so this book was a lovely, humorous escape in my reading life. I had never read or had Blinkys adventures read to me as a child and as a mother I shared Snuggle Pot with my children as it had been shared with me as a child.I would recomend this book to anyone wanting a light escape and reminder of what being a typical "bush kid" is all about.

I'll get the complaint out of the way first, not a fan of the way the book was made. This is mostly a personal issue but I loved the book that I had as a child and this was not up to that older editions standards. That said I love these stories and I am very much looking foreword to reading this to my daughter

This book is wonderful! My 6 yr old son just loves it. He never wants me to stop reading. He says "more, more".It has so many wonderful animals and since we live in the U.S. , it is fun to look up the different animals and learn about them, too. So many great morals we can teach when naughty little Blinky gets in trouble.We were reading some of Thornton Burgess books with all the different animals in each books. Blinky is very comparable to these. It is keeping my son's interest, to say the least. I think everyone should read it at least once.And if you want some free handwriting pages to go with it, check out [...]. they were there the last time i looked.

My Mum is from Aus. and I read about Blinky Bill when I was growing up. I bought this copy for my 6-year old niece and nephew for their birthday, to read with their Nana so they would have something to help them understand something about where she came from. They are a bit young but still enjoying BIll's adventures, as I had hoped. Arrived on time, I am a happy customer.

This is lovely book to have on the bookshelf, as Australian I grew up with the adventures of Blinky Bill.

A nostalgic piece of "old" Australiana. Originally written for Australian children of a former age. Still has some appeal for modern children and for "backward-looking" adults. Has some pedagogical value in the description of the appearance and habits of Australian wild-life, although out of date in terms of the latest research in this respect.

A must for Australian children
