Billy Joel - Piano Man Piano, Vocal and Guitar Chords

I'm an intermediate piano player (not a professional) and I honestly can't see what some others have against this book. No, it's not a "complete" transcription of every note that Billy plays, but it's miles above most piano books I've had.My favorite song, "The Ballad Of Billy The Kid" is not only note-accurate (as far as I can tell), but it's written out in its entirety! (no repeats). So you never have to turn back a page!!! Wish more arrangers would to that - it's wonderful!True, Billy's "honky-tonk" solo from "Travelin' Prayer" isn't in there, but there are enough other introductions and instrumentals in songs like "Piano Man", "Billy The Kid", and "Captain Jack" to keep most of us non-professionals happy. The arrangement for "Ain't No Crime" is tremendous and sounds spot-on.I plan to buy the three other David Rosenthal-arranged Billy Joel books that I know of - "Turnstiles", "The Stranger", and "52nd Street".Thank you, Mr. Rosenthal!!!Dave Coombs

Bought this with the thought that it would be more like what Billy actually Plays. Ended up just being close to/if not the same as the hal leonard books. A few songs do have intros & instrumentals added so that was nice but overall too pricey for what you get
