ArcaNatura Plant Based Omega-3 DHA Supplement

My cat wouldn't eat her food with this in it because there was a slight smell of fish and she is very picky. However the seller was awesomeand refunded my money in full with shipping. If you have a cat that likes fish or isn't very picky I would try this.

This product provides algae-based Omega-3 in an easy, convenient, virtually odorless dose administration. My Yorkie (Kirby) has kidney disease and requires daily Omega-3. ArcaNatura Omega-3 provides Omega-3 without including other Omega vitamins. Many of the Omega supplements on the market also include other Omega vitamins which could be harmful to dogs with kidney disease. He always found the fish oil-based Omega-3 capsules tasty but it made his breath disgusting and his face oily. This product doesn't do that. I just spray it onto his food. The directions don't require it to be mixed into the food but I do so the oil doesn't sit on top of the food and get onto his face while he eats. If you have a short-haired dog that probably wouldn't be an issue. Incidentally, my veterinarian recently attended a conference where the use of algae-based Omega vitamins rather than fish oil (which can contain Mercury), was recommended.

I didn't notice any difference in my cats trainability, energy, or coat when they took this as opposed to when they didn't. I realized after the fact that this may be because their bodies aren't meant to process plant based nutrients. If you're looking for a DHA supplement for a carnivore, maybe look for supplements derived from animal fats. I noticed significantly better results when I simply gave my cats sardine oil instead.

A year ago my Vet suggested Omega-3 DHA supplement after prescribing a vegan diet for my dog. I had started out with a Salmon version but was concerned about the possibility of Mercury in the fish. I looked for a vegan product & found ArcaNatura. I've been giving ArcaNatural to my dog for over a year. She has been doing very well and her shedding has all but stopped. Very pleased with this product.

The ONLY plant based Omega 3 supplement I can find on the market. Very important for cats that have allergies to fish. I highly recommend this product - just add a little squirt to their food to immediately start seeing a shinier healthier coat and cat!

Has helped with Chloe's itching and skin issues without the strong fish breath caused by other omega 3 supplements we've tried. Great product!

Product does what it says it will.My cat had severe dandruff,he would not eat food with fish oil on it. With this suppliment,I had no problem with him eating his food and the dandruff has improved tremendously.I will be buying this on a regular basis.

My husband and I have a dog named Juni and we love her very much. She is a black lab who is about 3 years old. We got her from the rescue center and we're so glad that we did. She's very well behaved and not hyper at all. The only problem is that she tends to lick & chew her leg all the time. If we aren't watching closely she'll do it to the point of her leg getting infected. I've always felt like it was probably a psychological type problem...nerves or something...but we didn't know what to do about it.We decided to try Omega-3 DHA Supplement & see if it would help any. We started using it as soon as it arrived. It's very easy. You simply spray it on her dog food. Of course, since she weighs 100 pounds we have to do 5 pumps each time, lol! She doesn't seem to be able to tell any difference in her food. Probably since it says on the bottle that it is odorless and tasteless.So, the million dollar question...what is the verdict? We've been using it every day for about two weeks and I can already see a difference in Juni. She doesn't seem as obsessive about her licking. I don't know if it's because her nerves are calmer or because her leg isn't itching as bad. But either way, I'm positive that the Omega-3 DHA Supplement is what the difference is. I would recommend this product to anyone!
