Silver Notebook Laptop Keyed Lock for Nano Security Slots

It is a very well made item that correctly fits my laptop.Note that to lock it, you do not need the key; just press the button at the top in. You only need the key to open it.It was not immediately obvious to me until I reviewed the very clear instructions on the back of the package.I recommend it.

Easy and intuitive to use. Fits in our new work laptop mini-locking ports. Ordered 3, but one didn't come with keys, so I needed to return it. The other 2 are doing what they need to do.

Well made, and fits my new HP Pavillion perfectly. Love the push button locking feature. Bonus: key stays firmly in lock while not in use.

This fits my HP nano slot as promised. It seemed a bit slackish while in there but i tugged it around and it holds just fine. The wire seems an ok build . I use it to secure my laptop when at the school/public library and i want to run to the bathroom. This won't keep serious prepared burglers at bay but the oportunistic thief would be assuaged i believe. Also arrived quickly. I wish it was a coded type lock instead of a key but hey it was way cheaper than a Kensington lock.

It does work. It does jiggle. But it will give you piece of mind as it is secure enough to prevent amateurs from walking past your desk and stealing it. Perfect for those teaching in high school!

My original review is below. I returned it for the smaller version that is supposed to fit slimmer laptops and Chrome Books. It did not fit my HP Chrome Book — easily slips out. So, it is being returned again. Spent 45 minutes on the phone with HP to try to determine what size lock will fit, and after e planning my question to the 4th person, I gave up. The original one, in addition to not working, was too big for the slot on my HP.———————-Original review (of standard size lock): This lock only has one job. ONE. And that’s to lock and unlock. OK, two jobs. But apparently either they are recycling defective product that was sent back, or no one bothers to spend 8 seconds checking each item while it’s being packaged. In any case, this lock did not do the ONE job it was supposed to do. So it’s going back.

Works perfectly for my HP zBook Firefly 15 G7. You have to press the button on the keyhole to engage the lock, the key only unlocks it. Works as a theft deterrent if you're in public, but would definitely not survive a targeted attack.

My new laptop has a nano security slot, which is hard to find compared to the standard security slot. I took some time to search and finally found this one - it does exactly what it is described. I'm happy with it - it has a much lower price than the locks sold from HP or Dell.
