Works with most brands of working 24 VAC valves. Clicker does NOT work with RainBird valves or Toro 53380 compact valves. PLEASE DO NOT ORDER THIS PRODUCT unless you are certain you do not have RainBird valves. Note that your controller and valves may not be the same brand.

Worked perfectly to find the missing sprinkler valve
I had a sprinkler line that would occasionally get stuck on and not turn off. As that's usually just some dirt in the valve, I knew I just needed to take the valve apart, clean out any sediment and put it back together. But, I could not for the life of me find the valve for this line of my sprinkler system as plants have really grown up since this was put in 25 years ago.I shut-off the sprinkler water, hooked up the Clicker II to the wire going to this sprinkler line at the controller, engaged the controller to turn on that line and then walked around the areas of the yard I expected the valve to be in. I could hear a clicking sound, pushed aside leaves and debris, found three sprinkler valves, popped off the covers and could easily tell which one was clicking. I'd found the desired valve.Cleaned out the valve and problem solved. Finding the valve with the Clicker II took about 5 minutes (some of which was me learning how to use it). Before buying this I had spent 8 hours over the course of several days trying to find the valve.

Product works
At first I wasn't getting power to product. Be sure to try reversing wire contacts. Product works. (Also note: the product might come in a cover that is not as advertised?) Never the less..it worked.

Works but not loud enough on my Rain Bird system
I tested it on a valve in an open box and could barely hear it. With the box lid on, I can't hear the clicking, so there is no way I can find the valves that are over grown with grass or dirt. Waste of money.

Didn't work!

Valve locator works great
Worked like a champ. I have a sprinkler system installed 20 + years ago and have a faulty valve. I was able to locate the valve within about 10 minutes. Very happy as this would have cost $200 to have a sprinkler company come out to find the valve.

The "Clicker" worked as advertised.
The 'clicker' did not include instructions that the wires are ONLY good when installed a certain way, not either way as stated. Signal does sound and can be heard in water valves NOT underground. But it is NOT detectable with valves underground.Would be better to have this part PLUS an electrical wire detector together in a kit. It would work great in that feature.

Works as advertised
Not sure I could have found my valve without this device. It was 6 inches below ground. I could hear the clicking but it was faint. I Looked for the valve when there was no wind and noise level was very low. Well worth the money.
